FH4 not launching

When I’m trying to launch Forza Horizon 4, there is that first screen and… it just stays in it for like 2 minutes and disapears without any error or anything. I tried reinstalling (4 times…), and even tried formating my pc, again, without any result. I have installed newest drivers for graphics aswell as new forza update.

i got the same problem since today.

Same problem since i updated on release day

PC version is a broken mess right now.

At first the game didn’t even start for me. After uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game 3 times (first time through MS Store, other times through the new Xbox beta app) I finally managed to get into the game last night, but then the game stated that I need to purchase the LEGO expansion, although it was already installed. So, uninstalled the DLC and downloaded it again - got it working. Today I launched the game and it crashed during the loading process after you press Continue from the main menu. Now it does it every time - can’t play the game anymore (on PC).

I don’t really see the point filling in a support ticket, because it seems to be a general problem with the LEGO expansion update.

Same problem, won’t launch. Currently re-downloading the whole game. How many of you have the new Xbox Beta app? Also, which Windows 10 version are you running?
I’m running Windows 10 version 1903.

I’m using the notorious 1903 version as well.

Same problem here, when I press Enter the game crashes, i’ve tried everything like reset the game, but it doesn’t work. I updated windows last night and it worked, but today it doesn’t anymore. I hate this devs, every day there is a ney problem, come on

I’m having the same problem, Windows 10 version 1903. I have tried getting it to work by uninstalling and reinstalling, 3 times by now. Resetting the game doesn’t fix anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Windows store with powershell commands, doesn’t fix anything. I have followed everything posted here, doesn’t fix anything.

Anyone who has any idea how to fix this? I’ve paid enough money to play this game…

I have the same problem, the game closes on the loading screen when I press to play … before it was working normally. Try to reinstall for me only if it is sure to work, because I stayed 5 days to download

Same problem since i updated, reinstalled and didn’t work.

Same here

im using windows version 1903 aswell and i have the xbox beta app im going to try reinstalling through that like andrOOna said they did.

So, any luck with that?

same problem here after new update:

Can not start DCOM server: Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.313.159.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe! SunriseReleaseFinal as Not Available / Not Available. The mistake:
“2147942405”

Sincerely I will not download 100gb again and I will cancel the gamepass.

Same problem for me.
Game took 2-3 tries to start after the Lego update (was on 1809 at that time) and the loading times were going through the roof (from mere seconds to 2+ minutes). 2 reinstalls solved nothing, so i upgraded to 1903 in hope it helps and now it crashes on the very first loading screen in Windows.
This needs serious fixing.

I have been having this problem off and on since the may update. Once it runs consistent the next update breaks it again. This time I uninstalled it, then re-installed. I noticed when I checked my connection in windows settings for xbox networking that NAT type was giving me a “does not qualify” message. I would click “fix it” box and then get a moderate connection for NAT. Then the game would run for me. Again, it would take a couple tries, but eventually it would work. Now I just open the xbox app before I play and make sure NAT is moderate then open the game from the app. It still take a good 4-5 minutes to boot up, but it eventually does. I opened a ticket back in May and their reply was something about making sure the teredo adapter was running. I had to go to the command prompt to check the teredo adapter and mine was set as disabled. Apparently you need this running to play multi-player games on xbox. I found a message board from microsoft that had a fix to get the adapter enabled. I went into the registry and changed setting for “set teredo state”. Mine was set as disabled, so I set it to enabled and set the state to “enterprise client”. Since then I haven’t received the does not qualify error but the game still seems to struggle to launch and it might take a couple of tries. I don’t recommend going into the registry unless you are ok with making a mistake and really messing things up. I found this on a microsoft message board while researching teredo problems. Here is the link, you may have to copy and paste. Redirecting. That is the page I got the info from, in the fist post on page 2. Hopefully it helps. Again, go into the registry at your own risk, don’t make any changes unless you are sure you want to. Sorry for the length. Oh yeah, I am still on windows 10 version 1809.

After reading this thread (credit to Hear Alan Watts) I remembered that I had used the app reset option as well, while I was doing all the steps from my first post here. At the moment my game is working. All I did was to press the reset button from the advanced options menu (see pictures below). I didn’t do any of the extra steps mentioned in Hear Alan Watts thread. Currently I have the LEGO expansion uninstalled, because that causes you to go into that cycle of death, where the game won’t launch. Fortunately I can still play the new expansion on console, but on PC it is too much of a hustle and everything is not awesome (it needs to be fixed ASAP).

PS! First time you launch the game after the reset, it takes looooong time to sync your save file (so be prepared).

EDIT:
I did some more experimenting actuated by before mentioned thread and more precisely by that yellow marked text. Installed LEGO expansion (through Xbox beta/game pass app) while I was playing the game on the main island. Once it got installed, fast traveled to LEGO Valley, did some races there, traveled back to main island and set one of the houses as my home. After that closed the game, launched the game and it actually loaded me into the game. I don’t know, if you have to travel to main island and set home there every time you visit LEGO Valley, but at the moment it seems to be working the described way.

Same problem here.
In the case I ended up uninstalling everything. And it still didn’t work. At the moment only the base game is installed and the game doesn’t start.
Try to Reset like andrOOrdna. Didn’t work.

FH3 and FM7 open normally.

I don’t know what else to do.
