Hello!

Does anyone have a same problem?

The few days ago i purchased Ultimate Edition via Microsoft Store. When i launch the game, it’s open default logo window, waiting a few seconds and closing. A few months ago i played with Xbox Game Pass, it was Standard Edition. It’s worked fine.

So, i tried download Forza Horizon 4 Demo and it’s works fine. My games installed on Disk D, because Disk C is SSD with small size. I tried to reinstall the game, but nothing helped.

What I tried to do for these 2 days:

Reinstall the game
Install Standard Edition (w/o DLC)
Reset the Microsoft Store
Reset the game
Log in Local Windows Account
Log in Microsoft Account
Windows Mem Test
Reinstall Nvidia Driver
Turn off Mic
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /sсannow

Open a ticket I guess. Are you logged in as an Admin or local admin?

Before it was a Local Account (Admin), but log in Store with Microsoft Account. I tried log in Windows with Microsoft Account and reinstall the game again, but nothing helps.

You could look in the community support section. [Mod Edit - Trolling removed - D]
My point is they broke my game 5 months ago. There is no help. Not trolling, just the truth.

The game can refuse to run if certain programs are running, like for example I found I had to stop using MacType. But as the full game used to work for you, I guess it isn’t that.

I had this problem several times. Only Windows Clean installation helped me: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
It is easier rather to find witch application does not let FH4 to start.

I guess it’s a bit awkward when it’s a new install of Win 10, no other programs running and it has the same not launching problem…

Hi,

I am facing this issues for months. Have already sent support tickets but the guy replying me suddenly stopped helping/replying me.

Someone here please help? Tried all the methods available online.

I’m having the same problem since the Lego Update.
Did everything the OP did and nothing helps.
Reinstalling Windows isn’t an option for just one game since every other Windows Store game works (Forza Horizon 3, Motorsport 7, Gears Ultimate, Gears 4, Gears 5)
as are hundreds of games on other launchers and the game worked flawlessly before the Lego Update.

Already had opened a ticket a month ago, but the only response i got was to open Forza in Windows Safe Mode (right. without any drivers loaded, good idea…)

Sooner or later they’ll close this thread like all the others and suggest to open a ticket. It’s just frustrating, since we’re not alone with this and it’s going on for months now.

Sometimes my game will keep crashing and not start. I will go into the start button window and if the green xbox pane just says xbox console and not have my gamer tag in it, I will go to services and scroll to the bottom where there a 4 xbox services. I usually have to manually start 2 of them to get all 4 running. Then I check the console pane again in the start menu and if my tag is there it will run. It still crashes once then runs, but that is a diifferent problem they haven’t fixed, but it will run. Hopefully that helps.

Yes Hundreds of us have the same problem on all different versions of Windows 10 since the April Updates. I have same and you will see many posts accross the internet the Same

I have tried all the fixes mentioned in numerous posts and on the Forza Support Pages

I have 132 Games on Steam 15 Games on Origin, Lots of other games as well Nothing Like This Ever - Every Game Works except this one - Microsoft Game Microsft Windows . I just cant believe this has not been sorted out. Every time the various Posts get shut down and you are refrerred to creat support ticket then they never answere the Support Tickets.

In the UK this offence is called Theft/Robbery/Fraud Selling if product that do not work.

It is Really sad that PC Forza Gamers are left like this. I have also tried to get the game to work on my Windows 10 Home Edition Gaming Laptop - Guess What does not load and throws another windows error.

Its all tied up with Windows Permissions and File Access which is locked down by windows - trying all the windows Rege edits to aloow permissons still dont work.

Cant afford to buy and XBOX and see that the game is also broken there for some PC PLayers.

Microsoft App Store also has its own problems with Forza

Sooo Sad that they cant Let the Game go to Steam as I bet it would work straight away!

Activation (license check) requires a valid connection to the server.

If it fails, either the request failed to reach the server, or the server determined that request invalid.

This is how to properly change the permissions. No regedit required. You cannot skip a step so make sure and follow it correctly. I don’t see this on what you tried. Are you having trouble with other windows store apps? Do they exhibit the same behavior? Try the Weather app see if that opens and closes right away.

HI!
My game has been working great til the past 2 weeks or so.
Since then I’m unable to get past the load screen. It loops forever, doesn’t freeze, crash or anything like that. It just loads forever.
I have a decently powerful PC and I have the newest GPU drivers.
I’ve tried to reinstall the game and all of its add-ons but the issue still occur.
To clarify which load screen I’m talking about I’ll link a picture down below.

Still the same issue.
Also tried uninstalling all addons apart from the expansion packs but the issue still remains

Do you have a screensaver or anything like that active?

I had a similar problem on Xbox a while ago, turned out to be the screen dimming after a few minutes of inactivity was interrupting the syncing process, causing infinite loading
