Crashing on START screen.

Now when you read the subject line you might right away think to post a tread of possible troubleshooting techniques for my issue, however I’ve been on every site on the topic and I have tried them all. Here’s what happened…I downloaded the game a couple nights ago because I was just extremely bored with Call of Duty for now and I wanted something different. So I purchased the game off the Microsoft Store, download it and have a have a blast for like six hours straight until I finally gave in and went to bed. I got on the fallowing day and played for about an hour or two until all of a sudden my screen goes grey and that’s all I can see besides my gauges. I let it sit there for a minute thinking it would go away and the application crashes. “Okay…” I start it back up get all the way to the START screen and my game crashes to my desktop. I try it again and again same thing happens. So I spent the rest of the day and night trying every troubleshoot I could find and nothing worked. I downloaded it on my Xbox and it crashed on the START screen too. I contacted Microsoft support, no help. I contacted Forza support, no response. When I had finally given up for the night I decided to try one last thing and I signed into a different gamertag and…It worked. I asked Microsoft support if I had been banned for some reason and they assured me I had not been banned. So I don’t know what to do. Is there some way I could have been soft banned from Forza for some reason? If anyone knows anything please let me know. I was really enjoying the game. Thank you! -Playwrite

Do you also have the LEGO expansion installed?
What version of Windows you have? 1809?

There seems to be many people with similar problem, but there are no official response nor fix so far.

Maybe you can find some useful information there. You can try that reset app option to see, if that does anything.
Also, you could fill in a support ticket (https://support.forzamotorsport.net/hc/en-us/requests/new), but I doubt it will make any difference.

Same problem with 1.317.24.2 update, I was playing fine a few hours ago, now i cannot launch the damn game :C

I have everything updated and I’ve tried to reset the application twice now. I thought it may have been because of the LEGO DLC so I purchased that and that didn’t help anything either. It’s not any hardware issues…on my end anyways. I’ve come to the conclusion that it has something to do with my Xbox account. After signing into my alternate account and the game starting right up that’s all it can be…I guess.

Also still no reply to my support ticket to Forza. (Almost a week ago.)

THIS WORKED TO ME:

Windows
In settings > Update and Security > View update history > Uninstall updates
I actually uninstalled the latest entry (June 11 KB4503293)
Restarted, currently on the KB4497935 build and I can install and play FH4 now.

In my case I had already uninstalled the game. I installed it again and it worked, I’m playing.
