FH2 Wheelspins are a bad way to reward leveling.

That’s a good idea, I need to get that perk ASAP. I saw it when I first started playing and totally forgot about it. I was just unlocking whatever was next to my previous perk. lol

We get plenty of free cars from VIP, Day One, loyalty rewards, showcase events, and barn finds. Then when you add that a lot of the cars are affordable even after not playing for that long I think the system is perfectly fine. If they gave out 250k or a Lambo every time we leveled up the game would get stale quickly. Everyone would have everything within a couple of weeks. I’m only level 38 and I have over 2 million credits without the Forza reward credits, trust me, the economy in the game is fine. lol

I love wheel spins I don’t see the fuss I can buy any car I want or maybe get lucky I thinks it’s great.

Maybe I’m old school but I like to work for things gives me more pride in owner ship. Wheel spins are just a bonus.

I am really surprised at how vocal some of the comments have been here. There has been nothing outrageous but can we tone it down a bit?

I am just saying I am not a fan of the current wheel spin reward. It is not a major complaint. I just don’t like it. It is a minor annoyance at best but I’d like to see it changed.

Here is a real life example. Do you remember when restaurants would give you a $5 off your next meal coupon if you did a telephone survey about your experience? I would do those. I knew what I was getting. Now you are entered into a drawing to win $1,000 for doing the survey. What are your odds of winning that? (That is a rhetorical question.) I don’t do the surveys anymore. I just like to know what I will get.

Some people like gambling. I don’t get any enjoyment from it. I’d rather know what the reward will be for doing something.

So I digress from the “Boo-Hoo” topic and update you all about the status of my “Luck”. Forza Horizon 2 has become completely unplayable over the past 3 hours, with the world unloading on itself and then suddenly crashing, I have had it happen 7 times in the past 2 hours and nothing seems to fix it, there are no similar problems on the forums or google, I am no longer able to play for the time being. as for the topic, it seems I am in a one man boat on thinking that having random rewards are a bad way to reward leveling, reason being that I am seeing it from only my perspective, in that being purely unlucky for a straight 35 level doesn’t justify my complaint. Because its just my observation after all.

not a fan of the wheel in one version? Get the 360 version. That way you won’t have to worry about bonuses because there’s none! Seriously how can you complain about having this?

Just wanted to say I too seem to be on a horrendous losing streak. Because there is that slim chance I could win a car, I have been saving my money rather than buying cars (don’t want duplicates). But now I think the game realizes I am stacked and rewards me poorly. Back to back 8K spins, why not?! If it weren’t for the extra cash during rivals races, I would need a second job to afford the cars.

After I bought the perk to get better spins, I got a 3K and an 11K spin. Upgrade well spent =( I guess the issue I have is it doesn’t seem random enough - before and after the perk. It just was really bad a lot for me. Yes, I have won cars from the wheelspin, but most were sub-20K cars. I too would prefer a constant value each level to at least give me an option to buy a car after a few level ups.

I know I’m resurrecting an old thread but the comment belongs here. After playing the came quite a while I’ve come to the conclusion that the wheelspin isn’t as bad an idea as I thought. I’ve gotten to the point in the game where the cars I want to buy are expensive. I’m looking at the rare classics and classic racers. The Ferrari Testa Rossa costs 4 million credits. It would take a lot of spins to afford that even if you got the biggest pay out on each spin. There are other multi million credit cars. The wheelspin won’t do much in helping you but them.

This is like the original Horizon. I didn’t buy all the cars. I think I’d need another 20 million credits to do that. I enjoyed having to earn all the cars. The same applies to Horizon 2. In Motorsport 5, I easily bought all the cars and I have another 12 million credits that I can’t do much with. Buying all the cars was too easy.

It is easy if you have a lot of time to play the game, but if like me you don’t then it makes it extremely hard to buy all the cars. I love collecting all the cars but I just can’t in FH2 plus I haven’t had any time to play it in the past 3 weeks. The wheelspin cars have helped me plenty so I am thankful for that.

I liked the wheelspins for a while - they occasionally gave me cars I did not own and if not gave me money.

Now that I have approx 10 cars to buy that are 800k credits each and given the wheelspins come around about every 80,000 xp the wheelspins basically no longer help.

Club bonuses and rewards is what keeps it going for me.

Not really about the wheelspins but having read the thread and seeing people find it hard to get the cars maybe the game could have had a lease program on cars in the game. Previous Forza games allowed the hiring of a driver to run events for you and was a nice way to grind out some races for the $$ earned, maybe allowing people to lease a car they cannot afford by taking a % of their winnings. I’ve not had a problem getting the cars/cash in the game as i clocked up some hours when I first got the game but understandable that some people cannot do those kind of hours and being able to lease a car that would take a long time to purchase gives them the opportunity to have a drive of a car that they may never get round to owning.

In rivals mode you can rent cars.

@Sat if its directed towards cars you dont own then what if you buy all the cars less than 1M cr, then would the winning options be the expensive cars? Also I think its geared towards what champtionships you’ve got left too, the cars I get are ones the most I dont own AND are part of champtionships which I havent completed yet, I’ve only got some rally, Track Toy, Cult classics and JDM left, and these are the types of cars I am seeing more of in the wheelspin, the rest of the championships ive done in all 6 locations therefore those cars from the completed categories tend not to turn up (Even though theres cars I do not own from there too), not sure if thats how its meant to work but thats what im seeing anyway

No. I think there is an upper limit of how expensive the prize cars are and I suspect there may be a probability factor that reduces the chances of getting expensive cars.

All I know is it took forever for me to get a dupe. I got to 175 unique cars owned well before I got a dupe and well over half of those were won on the wheel.

What is the earliest someone got a dupe?

Definitely agree there to be an upper limit on the value of the cars available. I don’t believe I have seen, even just flashing past on the wheel, any car worth more than around $250k or so.

I have only the following cars remaining to acquire:

250 GTO
DBR1
250 Testa Rossa
Cobra Daytona Coupe
33 Stradale
D-Type
Huayra
Cinque Roadster
GT40 MKII
Cobra 427 S/C
Agera
LaFerrari
P1
Enzo
Venom GT
V12 Zagato

I’ve never seen any of them appearing on the wheel nor heard of anyone winning them. It is possible that they can appear but are super rare so only few people may have seen them appear let alone won one of them.

I got a dupe pretty early, I would have had less than 50 cars at the time. It was probably the MR2. I believe the dupe chances are always there from that start and that there is no factoring of cars you already own.

Also when you win the “top cash prize” that does not necessarily mean that is the highest possible value of a prize for any wheelspin, but it is the highest prize for that particular wheelspin that you did. I have received that message for ~$100k prizes and won ~$200k prizes at other times.

Haven’t seen any confirmation of a car of 300,000 or above being won on a wheelspin, and I have won about 100 myself - with no duplicates as yet either.

The top cash prize message will appear when you win 100,000 CR (or 110,000 with the perk) or a car of same values.

agree to Eduardo, the increase of the XP for Level up and get the next spin is horrable beyond Level 250…
Hate it when i finaly got a spin and hit 3300 or that range…
Still love the game, but this feature isnt longer motivating…

Agree! Unlock the better level up and still only seeing small rewards! System is broken . Seems like higher the level the worse the rewards.

I just want clarify my earlier post.

I think the system is fine. I like the random possibility of getting a car or a larger prize.

It is built more for the part timer in a way in that you get more spins more often the lower level you are.

We all need to understand that it is random but I suspect in some way it is skewed towards cars you do not own. It took very long time before I got a duplicate car. Iam also happy that it does not just dish out the cars I don’t have now - that would make it too easy to get them all.

I know people who play less have another view regarding how hard / easy the game is to earn credits.

I also think there is an illusion created in away when you are a higher level. If you get 4 spins in a night which is more common for lower level players you might get 1 good spin. IF as a high level you get 1 spin per night it means you go days without a good spin which makes it look like its not being generous.

I think the system is built so that you get a full garage (1 of each car) some time after getting all achievements. Personally I like that as it encourages me to play after the achievements are done. Only issue there is I don’t like the online modes.

So in summary I think the system is ok but given the spins get rarer the higher level you are they become less important.

Yeah screw the wheelspins. I mean what a bunch of garbage handing out free cars and credits for literally doing nothing but playing the game(which I was doing anyways)

I should be getting a trillion credits each time to keep me from going through the trouble of racing in the racing game I bought. I mean how do they expect me to buy that $4 million Ferrari when I’m level 12? Do they really expect me to actually play the game to earn credits? Nah that would be silly.
