FH4 was a great game with depressing weather.
Ah yes, because when I think of street racing I think of Vans & utilities and the freaking tankpool.
No retro sports cars, no muscle vs tuner, no Evo vs Impreza, no M-Sport vs AMG. Vans and giant trucks.
Who decides these things? Look it’s not inherently bad to do a few odd matchups on occasion, but when you’re doing a specific theme each week, maybe stick to the theme?
Happy cake day!
Agreed, I’d have rather had 2 D Class events than those two.
I’m almost thinking we’re going to get a Trucks trial/championship consisting of Cathedral, Bola Ocho and Plaza 1 of these days.
I suspect that their only thinking was that they had to make sure the trial was easy. No walls means that the trial has to be really slow, so C class. What car type to choose will have been a minor insignificance beyond that.
DUBS’ offroad tune for Jesko. It’s drivable on road so it’s not too bad. You will still slide in speed zone but it shouldn’t be too difficult.
First I tried treasure hunt with stock Scirocco R but it didn’t work so I decided to try Civic Type R '18 with ugrundy’s tune.
Il give that a try thanks, I used focus rs first time treasure hunt then finally got it with the golf r 2010 second time trying and winning, used the rimac 2019 there got speed trap easy
What? Not at all! There is huge variety in C class, especially for stuff that’s thematically appropriate to street racing.
Retro sports cars, retro saloons, muscle vs tuner, Chevrolet vs Dodge, Rods and Customs, hot hatch, retro hot hatch (actually done I know), classic sports cars, retro rally, classic muscle…
Any of these would have been better than vans and utilities.
I’m not sure if the devs understand what “dry season” means. So far, the trial and two of the weeklys have been in rain/wet roads. Also, who’s bloody idiotic idea was it to have FIVE events instead of the usual three for the weekly challenge “Street Endurance”? They did the same thing last week with one of the cross-country series races. Can’t be bothered to give us more points though for doing more work, hey.
I also noticed that two different weekly challenges have events held on the same track. Sounds like some brilliant planning, as always.
Yes - I agree. For PGG, choosing an appropriate car type wasn’t important, because they don’t understand racing.
Trial was pretty fun! Wuling with the V8 swap. Two races, two wins!
Trial was GREAT! …Just not the ai xD I used the El Camino with Saeenu’s tune and won both races.
I had a very capable team of x3 El Camino’s and x3 Lightning’s. I got put into put into a tree whilst leading, I think by accident at Jungle Descent, but I seem to like this route and was able to recover.
I was already interested in getting that Lynk, but the prospect of having a reason to use an El Camino will have a better chance of drawing me away from Pathfinder WotR for a few minutes.
It’s a nice way to trigger it. It was the first time I’d actually got in it in FH5! Was sure I’d used it before.
Uhh….just had to put the “trucks” championship in A class. No effective builds for the Tankpool in A. Much better in B class.
Trial was VERY easy for me. My team was completely ahead of the AI by the third corner both races.
Is it just me, or is the Unimog much easier to roll than it was in FH4? It might be okay if the AI was bound to the same constraints, but theirs seem to be glued to the road.
I had to put lesser tires on the Mog than I initially went with. Too much grip is the biggest culprit for rolling it, I’d say. I still have a tiny bit too much grip on my Mog, but I can usually manage it without rolling. Usually.
Agree about the Trial, my team won the first two races by 3050 pts to 0
same here re Treasure Hunt, read the clue but missed the super bit, so did two races to unlock
I only had a look in the second race but I think everyone was ahead of the AI before 1% for the trial. Any sense of jeopardy is long gone.
