I agree. I parked next to one of the new mini’s a few months ago and it was taller than my 2010 (E90) BMW LCI 3 Series and almost a wide.

I used to refer to the BMW Mini builds as 1/2 series because they were just a little smaller than a 1 series but they have definitely become larger

I remember a university friend had a 1982 Mini City (formally owned by the features editor of Mini World magazine apparently) and I could barely get my legs in (I’m 6’4".) That is what I’d call a proper Mini. The clue is in the name

Bit of a funny story behind this one (which definitely wasn’t funny at the time): I was on vacation yesterday, so was able to get an earlier start than normal on the playlist. Subsequently, I had been working on this design for the new Toyota Chaser for quite some time, suffering from a bit of detail focus, meaning I hadn’t saved the updates to the design in a while. As it happens, the remnants of Hurricane Helene were blowing through for most of the day & it was at this point we lost power…:man_facepalming:t2: Yep, all that work was lost as a result. (BTW: want to mention I hope anyone else directly affected by the hurricane is safe. I live in Ohio & we had pretty extensive damage even this far north).
Power came back on but continued to cycle through outages for a while, but stayed on thankfully & I was able to continue with the design, though we completely lost internet for the night. Was able to complete the design today & have shared it for anyone interested. Thanks to anyone who decides to check this one out, as it definitely has a bit more of a backstory; it’s appreciated & hope you like it.

can help, I did the oddball championship in the (truly dire) Fairlady Z FE and did aim it at the Tankpools to nudge them into barriers, enough momentum transferred to corner quickly AND take out at least one enemy (no human players were harmed in the making of this post)

Gave the '03 F-150 SVT Lightning a run through the Trial.
Had a bit of trouble fighting my way through the pack going down the hill on El Descenso so this vehicle has more to give.

Well this weeks Trial was a mess in the first race and then everyone left who realised they had the wrong vehicle. Even missed a checkpoint in the second race and came back to take second.

Ugh, four main-map championships this week? The game’s bound and determined to waste as much of my time as possible. At least the Trial was a quick win.

On the plus side, what a fantastic EventLab. Seriously good work!

Got some good results with the Econoline van in the 4wd series.

It got hate when it was introduced IIRC but it handles well for me anyway.

I couldn’t resist going with the Tankpool for the oddball rally championship. It’s actually fun to drift around in this game, unlike in FH4 where it literally couldn’t turn without slamming the handbrake. Now if only they’d bring the Iron Knight back…

I know we’re already into next season but I was finishing this up last night, and I had the opposite experience with the expansion PR stunts. I cleared the HW speed zone first try in the Torana by a few mph, but the RA speed trap was a pain. It takes a long time to find grip from a standstill in that wretched sand. I finally managed it in…whichever Holden isn’t the Torana or Sandman, but I had to switch to manual because I kept hitting a gear change that demolished my speed.

Ah, right; my comments are about how I found it in that car rather than overall. I stuck with the Sandman because after the first go I felt it was possible and I had a bit of time, or I’d have gone for the more powerful car. For the RA speed trap I think I used an unorthodox angle of approach to avoid the gear-change.

Yeah, for the speed trap I wound up finding a run-up that started on dirt, so I could avoid getting completely bogged down in 1st gear.
