I normally stick to an S1 Willys Jeep for drifting. My solution was to pick a C class old muscle car, upgraded to drift tyres and suspension, then upped the engine to get it to A. Turned off the stability assists and went for it. Sorry, but I cannot remember the specific car I used, but it did not require any fine tuning.

Thanks, dude.

“But my guy,” I hear you asking, “why were you ten seconds behind?”
Short answer? Skill issue.
Long answer? S K I L L I S S U E (actually, I hit a hard barrier at the start of the second lap)

This was my first run and was pretty unhappy with my performance.
I also had some skill issues in both races. :upside_down_face:

On El Descenso I inexplicably missed the final checkpoint. :person_facepalming: Still had time to rewind and hold on to 1st place.

On Estadio I clipped that little building near the start.

Did a second run that went more how I’d hoped.

Cheers, not often I get matched up with players from the forum.

Had to be a Ford. Anyway I found one. Forgot which one.

My first run was full of skill issues so I did another run. In my usual spot on the grid.

Again in my usual spot but not so bad since a few teammates left or got disconnected.

I used my HW Duelly and it went ok. I was second on El Descenso most of the way until I had a controller drop-out and missed a checkpoint then an idiot teammate in the trailcat rammed me out of another checkpoint

Estadio I was in first almost straight away but got rammed out by the other idiot teammate in the Deberti but managed to claw back to third

My team was mostly well behaved but I really wish some people would learn to play as a team

Both Ford RTR FD Mustangs can detune to A800 with snows and the FD Viper V10 engine swap, kept RWD. With a quick change of the final drive ratio they’ll clear the speed trap easily.

Picked one of those tunes myself. Nice one for the suggestion.

Threw away an easy win on first event buy having to turn back on a missed CP.

Second event simples win.

Clean team.

Surprisingly no run away ai

The Raesr qualifies for the oddball rally championship. Crazy.

Nice runs :+1:

I raced same vehicle with big margin wins in both too.

The Ranger and the K10 are really good for these tracks.

Is there something that makes treasure chests appear immediately when completing the clue vs. having the big circle? I completed the treasure clue with my main account and it just showed me the chest location on the map. But I fired up the game on a dummy account today to check something, completed the treasure hunt clue there and it still showed the big circle where you have to find the chest.

Thanks, really liked the combination of speed and stability in the Ranger Raptor.
Handles pretty well too.

Have a few other candidates that I want to try out at some point this season.

th VIP map unlocks the exact location, your dummy account probably doesn’t have it activated so you’re on the basic map

Do you mean VIP or treasure map? I have VIP but not the treasure map.

It didn’t always do that for me. Looks like it started with Series 36, but it’s not listed in the July 16 release notes. Was it mentioned in a stream?

sorry I meant the treasure map… you have to physically activate it on each account

that’s weird, not sure about that part

Like I said, it started with Series 36, which was also the day Xbox was having major issues. I could play base game stuff that day, but couldn’t get into the expansions. (Going back to that week’s playlist thread, you said you couldn’t launch the game at all.) Maybe something then activated the treasure map for my account. Can’t remember if I tried to play in the cloud then, which also makes some DLC things accessible, like the old Ford FE that comes with the Forza controller.

My dummy can access the expansions if my main is logged in the background. It can also use the VIP cars and has access to the house granted by VIP, though the icon doesn’t have the leaves or checkmark. If I play with the dummy without the main logged in, I can’t use the VIP cars and the VIP house is no longer owned but available to purchase. Not sure what would happen if I tried to set it as home while my main is logged in, then start the game without it. The barn finds show as a circle rather than the exact location, so if the map is on my main, it doesn’t carry over to the dummy.

I had trouble getting everything to work on my alt at first, I think what I eventually did was make the alt the console owner but my main is the game owner, that made them both run seamlessly. I had to re-activate purchased items like they were new, including the treasure map and car packs
