Festival Playlist events and rewards Oct. 5-12 (Spring S25)

Sure, but I don’t actually need the 40 points Porsche. And I don’t want to do championships either. So 38 points it is.

Well…

I found another @x_ShadowsBane_x tune. I believe it’s RWD, which is usually NOT my preference, but I can’t argue with the results. 1st and 2nd this go round.
BMW 2022 i4 (Gulf Flex): 162 880 209

Also, I used ShadowsBane’s viper tune for the speed zones (good enough to 3 star, let alone the watered down seasonal targets):

Dodge 2008 Viper SRT 10 ACR (Green Stryker): 129 373 467

The i4 doesn’t really handles like an RWD for what ever reason. The topspeed is also insane.

Why isn’t it possible to allow the creators to set a spawn point for cars so something like this doesn’t happen?

I mean with all the work put into the EventLab update this should have been a focus.

What on earth…

Trial glitches.

Said we lost first event on points with half the team dnf-ing and similar on event 2 but we won over all.

Messy

Hard fought Trial this week. I went with the @PlageBLN VW Golf with the Race Control livery. Absolutely killed it in the first race, avoided all the chaos and won by a few seconds. Second race was much harder. I was fighting for P3 about 20% into the race when I got rammed by a 718 and had to switch it into reverse and spin back around at 80MPH. Managed to fight through the field from 10th to finish in the 3rd place I was fighting for originally, overtaking an AI RS7 just before the line. All thanks to that amazing PlageBLN tune, and some good evasive action from me to avoid traffic.

Thanks for trying out the tunes. Glad you got good results with them.

I was pretty happy with how the Viper tune turned out. Handles very well for my preferences.

That’s a nice Viper livery you created. I’ll download it later on.

I shared a tune for the BMW IX. It handles nicely and is pretty stable for being RWD(no option to AWD swap it).
I’m not sure if it has the speed and acceleration to compete with some of the other eligible cars though.

Thanks for trying out the car. It’s relatively quick for what it is. Sorry to hear that with the ram. Sometimes the extra lighting attracts some “extra attention” from the wrong type of people unfortunately.

I did the Trial with the 2016 M2. Was 1st until the highway in the first race but then got overtaken by a standard M3 GTS (PI 794) which has a topspeed of 320 km/h or so. In the second race I finished in 1st place.

Btw, none of the three Festival EventLabs triggered the daily. Shouldn’t that be the case or does it has to be something not on that list?

Then maybe don’t promote tobacco use…

It’s about their liveries which I think look good. I’m obviously not promoting to smoke. What’s next? You’re going to tell me I shouldn’t have the logo of a fuel company on a car because I’m promoting pollution of the environment? :man_facepalming:

You’re free to not use the livery and to chose not to smoke.

buddy of mine got a week ban for a Hooters livery, even tho they’re an actual race sponsor

So far neither tobacco nor alcohol liveries are forbidden from what I know. They’re not allowed to take part in contests for understandable reasons though. I can see where the problem with Hooters is but I think getting a ban for creating such a livery is bit over the top.

I think he used a particular slogan that was worse than just the brand name, now that i think about it. but it was a full week

Gave up with the Trial in my Porsche Cayman 2018. There’s only so many times a team of five other 1 star/ no star prestige can help lose you 2-0 to the drunkatars.
Why do I get lumbered with slow inexperienced players (regardless of prestige stars), yet when I brave the ‘Open racing events’ I end up last every time ?
Sorely tempted to access the new Forza Motorsport instead, even though my Son’s disappointed there’s no Tesla racers featured… (face-palm)

What’s allowed in game and promoted here isn’t up to me. You’re welcome to confer with @T10ManteoMax about what’s allowed in an E3 game. I understand it doesn’t do anything but drugs and alcohol are in the list of reasons for reporting a livery in game. Obviously tobacco is a regulated drug in the US at least.

It seemed like you were knowledgeable about sponsorships and racing but maybe this part isn’t clear. When you put a company’s name on a car whether you are paid or not, you are promoting their product. It’s not relevant if it’s an actual vehicle or virtual. To say you don’t want people to actually use the products is a real cop out.

Generalizing here, most here enjoy racing irl whether participating or watching. So I fully understand the nostalgia of past race liveries for Formula 1, WRC, NASCAR, IMSA et al. They’ve all moved on from drugs and alcohol.

You have a tremendous catalog of excellent racing liveries. The tobacco imo isn’t necessary.

Tobacco is most certainly an important part of motorracing history & I will always enjoy & will continue to enjoy recreating designs reminiscent of yesteryear. When tobacco left the field alot of charm left racing liveries.

Edit: From the like, I assume I wasn’t clear there, the eye rolling was at WhiteBurrito. I agree with Plage on this one. It’s a historical livery for god’s sake.

They didn’t choose to leave though

No, I understood you. You’re welcome to express your opinions. As am I.

EDIT: not aware of it on that Lamborghini but you are welcome to post a pic of it used historically.
