Yep the 1M again just like last week, I’ll share that on Wednesday and my Infiniti is still available from the original run of this.

The ‘06 Audi RS4 is probably the best one of the cars I didn’t try but that will require MC, between the original and this time around I’ve avoided most of the Audis, BMWs and Mercs to keep things a bit more interesting for me.

Hoping that Holidays wins the vote so I can have some new tests to fully go throguh, as nice as seeing these improvements is it’s still re-treading old ground for me when it’s any series from Summer Party/Series 23 onwards since that’s when I first started doing these.

For the Hot Hatch PR stunts, shouldn’t the class restriction be B 700 not B 800?

The Holidays did thankfully win the monthly vote. Good luck with the new tests !

I simply purchased a stock Focus for 6000 credits in the Auction House. Nobody challenged my starting bid as there are loads of the older Focuses in the A.H.. Best way to do this one if you’re out of Focus options on the Test Track upgrades, as I was. Pain in the bum, but job done.

Seriously !- what is the deal with these backdated, reused playlists that don’t even do what they did previously ?
Seasonal championship 2 - "Euro To Go! " - just went with the same car that I used in S37 as this is just a rerun of that - BMW M5 (2018), A, 800, Super Saloon- wasn’t allowed for some odd reason.
OK then. I’ll use my other A, 800 Super Saloon - BMW M3 (2008), A, 800, AWD - Not Allowed !!
In the end, had to use an Audi RS 6 Avant (2015), A, 800 (Still a Super Saloon) - but with rally tires on a road race.
Won all 3 races but still - what’s the deal on car choices these days ?
Have they just forgotten what was allowed and just abandoned the game entirely ?
Looks like I need to do the same - not that they would even care these days anyway. Game is dead so why bother dragging it out for another 12 months of repetition and just call it quits and release FH6 now - bugs and all.
The players will probably solve most of them or at least get a workaround before the devs can anyway if FH5 and previous are anything to go by.

That’s the restriction for that SC, not Super Saloons.

Got things done early this week for once. I had to run the Trial twice, and the two attempts were polar opposites. My team didn’t stand a chance the first time around; we just barely made it to the third race, and thanks to loads of back-markers we weren’t anywhere close on the other two. I tried doing my best in the one Merc convertible, but the lead AI on Cordillera ran an absurdly impossible 2:55, and then on Teotihuacan I just could not gain on the top three AI at all. As always, if no one on your team can catch them early on, they peace out and you don’t have a chance at catching up. Then on the second attempt our team completely dominated and nearly swept the AI out in two races. Go figure.

I went with the Scirocco for all three main map PR stunts. The trailblazer was the only one that gave me any real trouble; it took me a few attempts to figure out a good route. I wound up getting back on the road right after the start gate and sticking to it for most of the first half. Then after a cut through some trees I aimed for the road again right before the small overpass crossing the gully, then went in a straight line to the finish. The HW speed trap is that lovely one right after the loop that bottoms out cars unless you switch to Horizon Solo (aren’t we glad they never bothered to fix that?). The RA speed zone was a bit of a pain due to the terrible car restriction; I managed to pull it off in the CT5-V Blackwing by starting from the eastern end.

The other championships and EventLabs were pretty straightforward, and almost any stock car would presumably work for them. The one on the island had a cool vibe to it.

You can read the restrictions in the festival playlist, if you hover over the event on the map, also before you start the championship…

I’m just curious, knowing you run stock exclusively, what does the PI look like for the AI & teammates in these events? I’m assuming you’re being paired with tuned cars, given that most players don’t run stock? Might be interesting to post screenshots of the results just for context.

Definitely have to give you credit for staying true to the stock option & playlist after all this time :+1:t2:

Wasn’t really focusing on the Super Saloons thing.

As said in first line - went with the car I used in the previous version of this season which just happened to be a Super Saloon but it wasn’t allowed this time so just went with similar car types to try. Personally I’d say an M3 is more of a daily than an M5 anyway.

As said in the third line, another Super Saloon was allowed.

It was more about why the original choice was OK last time but not this time. :man_shrugging:

Sorry for the confusion.

Have you checked that the M5 has an A class tune on it? It was a specific car for a seasonal S1 speed trap recently. Just a thought.

It varies a lot from week to week, depending on what the restriction is and what my teammates bring. Most other players who aren’t newbies tend to bring tuned cars, so I’m used to punching above my weight against AI with a higher PI level, but there are also weeks that have a stock option with maxed-out PI (or near enough not to matter), and then the field is usually fairly even. In this particular case I don’t remember what car the lead AI was driving, but I know the PI wasn’t maxed out, and I’m pretty sure it was close to the stock PI for the car in question. The AI definitely doesn’t play by the same rules that we do, since their PI number doesn’t seem to matter nearly as much as whether they get selected to have the big lead turbo boost.
