Festival Playlist events and rewards Nov. 18th-25th (Autumn S1)

Here’s what I’ve noticed/realized…When I tried the speed trap in the opening days using a Track Toy it didnt matter that I was in a Track Toy tuned at S1 900 and could beat the target speed. I had to be in a Track Toy tuned to S2 998. Same as the speed zone using my Audi quattro I beat the target at S1 900, but it had to be S2 class. So I put a lighter set of wheels on it and it worked. So its just as important to look at the class the challenge is set up for as it for what type of vehicle. Hopefully that helps.

So basically The Trial is a BMW I8 race. Even all the Ai are using it

I just ran it with an i8 to 800. Everyone except two were using it. The other two were an Audi R8 and the Corvette C8. i8 players performed better but I’m open to suggestions of cars to tune down.

We got smashed in the first. In the 2nd I took out the red drivatar in 2nd allowing a team mate to come through who returned the favour on the red drivatar in 1st. So we go the 1-2 and won the second event. Unfortunately there was an idiot in the third that managed to knock some of us away from a checkpoint and we lost. So I don’t know how we would have gone without the kid.

Why the hell they set it as “Modern Supercars” is beyond me, as the only “Modern Supercar” that is A class is the i8, why didn’t they just make is “BMW i8 A800” was an absolute ball ache.

So, first road racing trial of the game and they choose Modern Supercars. Excellent choice - one of my favourite categories. A choice of 18 cars in the Autoshow which are generally excellent to drive. However, 17 of those 18 cars are stock tuned to S1, so why make this an A class trial? It guarantees that all the drivatars will show up in i8s, being the only actual A class car stock.

The actual trial was fine. I used the Audi R8 (2013) with a tune by NephriteSS. It copes well with the very wet conditions in the first two races (we won 2-0 so didn’t get to the third).

FWIW, other than the problem with the Charger not working on the Danger Sign, I’ve been able to successfully complete all the other playlist items with no issues.

Arcade objective done for this season. Back to finishing weekly.

Autumn is Wet season not Hot season?

[Edit - oops, copy and paste error when I created the thread. OP corrected to Autumn | Storm Season. - MM]

Summer: Wet season
Autumn: Storm season
Winter: Dry season
Spring: Hot season

Ah I’m still trying to get used the new season names and how they impact each area of the map.

Wet
Wetter
Not Wet
Still not Wet

Just my opinion, but the trial is really too difficult… All the team members leave, and i end up being 5th or 6th… I can not beat unbeatable drivatars, i just can’t… But i wanted to achieve the complete season festival playlists achievement… this kinda ruins my fun…

Your experience can vary as the difficulty of the AI varies depending on the tunes / cars the players bring.
I think If someone has a tune with a high top speed it increases the max speed of the top 2 AI.

I used the 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia as I can squeeze in front and rear forza aero and AWD - tune is shared if anyone looking for one. More of a build than a tune really but it works.

Ran the trial 3 times for sport and team won all 3.

Run 1) Easy to pass all of the AI and run to the end. Team lost first match but won next 2 convincingly. (All I8’s, one was a good tune/driver)

Run 2) I was highest scoring player but didn’t finish higher than 3rd in the first 2, last one I won on top speed. AI was way faster, I was reeling them in, just a couple of wall bumps but couldn’t quite catch the top 2. two players dropped out. (Mix of cars)

Run 3) I was fastest car by far so was rear gunner for the fastest 3 who were sliding about all over the place wall bouncing and riding etc. I was hugging apex’s to keep the AI behind. On the second race I was tagged hard by a team back marker and lost a few seconds getting the car turned around (hate manual gears when you need reverse), then recovered from 11th to 4th passing all of the AI and still ended up rear gunner for the 3 lead cars who I think must have been RWD. (mixed cars)

Point is, I took exactly the same car and tune into the 3 consecutive trials and I would rank the difficulty as medium, hard, easy. The only factor was what the other players brought so you may find that some races really are easier to score points in than others.

I feel the second 2 races are easier so even if the first is a loss, worth seeing how race 2 works out and if players that score zero points drop out, that makes it easier for your team to win as it cuts the points the AI can score.

but they never quit on the 2nd race.

they would rather drag everyone down with them and then quit at the start of the 3rd race when it’s too late to salvage anything.

I did PR stunts for now with Hoonigan Nova, Ferrari 599XX E and McLaren 570S. I’ll see how I feel about the championships over the weekend.

But think I made a mistake here. Switched to FH5 too soon, game is as broken as it could be, also race events to me feel badly designed, except few, same with dirt races, … Playlist is full of unnecessary restrictions, weird daily challenges, that usually don’t work, as they are just the opposite of what is written and don’t get me started on drivarats …

I’ll just stick around to collect new cars, rest of the game is really not appealing to me in comparison to FH4.

I see that choosing arcade event from the playlist still says ‘No valid stuntparty - description, yeah!’

It would be handy to pick it from there, as FH5 still hasn’t innovated the ability to zoom out enough to see the entire map at once, so you can find where the next event is without hunting for it.

Why oh why Team King in an Open session.

Tried about 10 different sessions and you join after Team King and waiting to find out you’ve missed this one.

2013 Audi R8 Coupe v10 Plus 5.2 FSI Quattro can be used for trial race as well, although I didn’t do very well with it and others with fully tuned i8s were much better in cornering. Maybe the tuning wasn’t suitable for these races.

So far Arcade seems to be the most problematic to me (haven’t gotten past the second round; also can’t see others while doing rounds). Stunts worked on first try and so did the new daily. We’ll see how rest of the dailies go.

If anyone has a good tune for any applicable car for the Trial, please let me know on here. I’m going to try the 2013 Audi R8 later.

The ‘looking for group’ feature is really the way to go for Arcade. You can end up with a group of 6+ in addition to whoever joins randomly. Not perfect, but gives you a MUCH better chance.

GreetedDust8’s i8 tune makes easy work of the trial. Handles very easily, highly recommended. A800 feels a bit slow, especially when you('re supposed to) have modern supercars at your disposal. Would be a great and fun selection of cars if not for the performance class restriction, I suppose this may even have been a mistake on T10’s end. S1 900 would certainly bring more fun on the road.

Racing through the rain and storms has been great fun in the trial and left a good impression!

On a sidenote, I’m baffled how people buy these Bugattis from the auction house for more than they cost in the autoshow.
