Exactly. Game enjoyment hasn’t really come into it since FH3.
I had a streak going from the start till a few drift events ruined it but been back on it for a few months now.
Weirdly, some them still aren’t Golded even though the points have exceeded the requirements. And just looked back at these and one then Golded itself just by looking at it ![]()
I don’t have any voices telling me to go for it but it’s always been something I aim to go for.
Usually knock out the playlist on the first day or two then just chill for the rest of the week doing the daily followed by some Eliminators and the odd Rival attempts just to keep my tally going.
@Nursemorph , after reading through your last few posts I’m inclined to suggest seeking medical advice. ![]()
worked for me!
That wouldn’t be my choice of suggestion, though I know it was a light-hearted response.
I got a ban after mentioning the whole completion thing was just a bit of OCD and got bombarded with posts telling me I needed to seek psychiatric help. I ignored them for a while till they kept coming and responded only to get a ban for going back on some savage personal attacks.
Just the spirit of horizon from the forum mods.
Shame - I have gold on everything but still enjoy it; I do give myself this little challenge of attempting everything in a stock car, then adding in further constraints (cheapest one from the autoshow sort of thing). That’s a nice game sometimes to get the stunts right - the way they had it at the start of the game was absolutely right. They removed the tight restriction but I can still make it hard for myself. Only a couple have escaped me.
Well, you probably didn’t send them a thank you.
This week’s Trial will be A800 super saloons on road courses. Trying to decide which ones to tune but there are a daunting amount of super saloons.
I’m wondering which ones does everyone think will be popular?
Probably just go with the audi’s and BMW’s but any suggestions are appreciated.
I looked at the super saloons category in the wiki and I thought, “not that many!”
Not that accurate. There’s a LOT of options. I’m guessing the limo is out. I’m definitely interested if any of the tuning braintrust has some go to super saloons so I can focus my livery efforts on the week.
The red dragon is getting close (and will be sub 1k layers)
I do have an A800 tune for the Limo. It handles surprisingly well for being a big boat, but it doesn’t have the top speed to compete with the Audi’s and BMW’s of the world.
I had my eye on the Nissan Sentra Nismo but again it’s kind of down on speed.
Outside of the Audi’s and BMW’s, maybe the Jaguars or Lexus RC F would do well.
At least the Limo would give you a big canvas to work with.
Don’t think that didn’t cross my mind! ![]()
Although the way the scaling works the dragon fits best ona more 3:5 aspect ratio (like the flag). I did try it out on one of the giant audi roofs, and that worked really well.
I mean…
I guess it wouldn’t hurt to give the limo a try.
Gotta wrap up some line work on the dragon tomorrow m, though.
I’ve a lot of A800 Super Saloons because there are two Horizon Tours for them. The Audis and BMWs are basically all good. The Sentra can’t really compete with most of the others. My insider tip would be the Panamera if you wan’t something more out of the ordinary. It also has this funky “split out” rear spoiler.
The M2 is my all time favourite.
Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn’t considered the Panamera but sounds like it could be a fun project.
Well I would have, but was on a ban at the time (they waited till I’d gone to bed to drop the pressie before my next session). Nice touch. ![]()
Limo is fairly strong. Fwd powerbuild version should be competitive with the best Super Saloons on most of the sprints.
06 Audi possibly best for AWD but I’m not that familiar with the Super Saloons, so may be something stronger.
Edit - obviously also depends what courses they give us.
I have a list for the Marathon (thus, specific) but since all cars (except the Limo) are run without aero/powerbuild it provides a kinda reliable performance feedback:

So, @Jezza14 is correct. The Limo is extremely fast as a FWD powerbuild. It has the Funco F9 engine and the front aero provides more downforce than the ones of many S1 Supercars do.
For normal builds the '06 RS4 is easily the best - and always has been.
Most modern cars without a good engine swap are crap. The e-tron is an exception here because it basically has no drag whatsoever which helps a lot on the Marathon. For acceleration based tracks it’s at the mid-end of the list.

“Tidy butt!”
The Lariat is about where I think it needs to be. Just another okay truck. In organised lobby racing it would be a good option, but still might be good for tours.
