How do you do the Messing Up the Place Daily? I keep being put into a Convoy and not the Playground Games!
Update: After around 45 minutes of waiting around it triggered a working Convoy in Playground Games and event over in seconds. What a waste!

I started this from the menu via Horizon Open.
Not having the faintest idea about a game mode I’ve studiously avoided, I got dumped into the stadium in an S2 class car. I survived two rounds of baffling inanity before I pulled the plug on it when I was infected and chasing cars I couldn’t catch.
The game then sent me to the Baja circuit where I got the daily done while loathing every minute of this whole irritating fiasco.
But if we’re meant to be getting some great wreckage skill, we ought to be spawned where such a thing can be achieved. Not, it appears, the stadium – unless I was missing something.
Not answering for whoever your post is directed at but how about :
1 - Some like to go for 100% Gold completion
2 - It’s stupid that a “Daily” often requires more play than the “Weekly” to complete
Good enough ? I’m sure there’s more reasons if you really need them.
@Laberbacke ,
@Not_Here_Too nailed it on number 2. Nothing more to see here, these aren’t the droids you’re looking for.
Heads up for anyone getting annoyed with this - if (when?) the game dumps you into a holding area (I ended up in Baja Outpost) you can get a Great Wreckage Skill here - you do not have to wait for an event to start, smash some stuff up and quit out of waiting (Exit Horizon Open) and the daily should pop for you.
Ah yes, I often forget (forgot anyway, don’t do much of the chore list anymore) the “Do the requirement while waiting for the event to load” workaround. So, yep, find a nice area full of wreckables (or whatever requirement), start the event loading sequence, and while it’s taking it’s usual 5 minutes to actually start you can get the requirement done in seconds and quit out of the event without ever having to take part, saving another several minutes of mindless enforced participation. Great head’s up bethel71 !
When has a daily ever taken longer than the weekly to complete? Completing an expedition certainly didn’t since you could ignore the optional objectives.
It’s a shame the community is so averse to doing anything that could be considered challenging or time consuming.
It’s like anything that takes more than 3 to 5 minutes to complete is a bridge too far.
This community is the games own worst enemy.
Expeditions are nothing other than an introduction to opening the various outposts, pretty much anything else in the entire game you can make a case for concerning replayability but you’d only ever choose to go back and do those if you missed the accolades.
The community has got nothing to do with it, you as usual just seen an opportunity to get on your moral high horse with the forum.
And in case you want to sling mud at me like you always do labelling me as someone who hates everything I was one of the only people on here who argued a case for the daily near the start of the game that asked us to do a Tour in the VW van, I found it a ton of fun using something I’d likely never go near, upgrading it to A class and taking it in Tour vs the conventional cars other people were driving.
comment on the daliy - the wreckage thing doesn’t “pop” while waiting for an event to start so it’s a question of counting the skills as you go
How about all the times it required a specific non-drift Arcade event ? Did you not waste several hours, over multiple days even, waiting for the right one to spawn ? I’m sure there were others too.
EDIT : Oh yeah, like all the times a Daily was bugged or required multiple attempts before finally figuring out the thing was described wrongly ? And again, I’m sure there were more. Of course there were also Weekly chores that were similarly bugged and broken, to be fair lol.
And that speaks volumes but not the way you think.
You know what, never mind.
Just tried to do this daily for the first time. Don’t get why you need to be in a convoy even if you choose a solo mode version.
Chose one, then the convoy leader did nothing - had to leave.
What a useless choice for a daily. Why are we forced to wait for somebody else to start an event to do it ?
Crazy !
I can only imagine their metrics show nobody is playing convoy (gee, I wonder why, couldn’t be the numerous issues for months) so they had the brilliant idea to force everyone to do convoy. I’m sure the metrics now show it as a huge success and they will do it even more.
Is this normal for Playground events ?
Never done any except when forced to in the normal weekly stuff or occasionally when I was hunting for the Accolade - Steal a crown 5 times in a single round of King or Team King.
(Still not managed it yet)
Sorry, no idea really, haven’t looked at this one or done similar in ages.
Did you join from the Horizon Open menu? That’s where I joined and it was just like joining an open race event.
OK - so tried a different approach.
Online Horizon Open - PGG session joined - B, 700 - Porsche Macan LP Racing T1 Rally Raid (2018), B, 700, AWD used - Session in progress - got a skill - left event - Daily triggered.
What ?
I remember for the Hot Wheels expansion when you had to drive like 50 miles in tour and open, if you got put into an event in progress the miles you drove while waiting for the race to finish counted towards the objective.
Yeah - did a similar thing with one of the eliminator dailies where you had to get a speed skill.
Got at least 10 before the session actually started. Carried on though but I reckon that would have triggered if I had just left as soon as it began. Think I got a 4th finish in the end so it was at least worth continuing.
So the Online Horizon Open - PGG session seems to have ticked off on the playlist. Finally hit the 100% for this week.
Seems to be a workaround if you don’t want to rely on a convoy leader not bothering to start an event.
