Forcing people to compete in the toxic carp that is Horizon Open is like forcing a vegan to eat animal products.
If people want to play in that toxic environment, more power to them, but it should not be forced on those who hate that game mode if all they want to do is complete the playlist 100%.
It wouldn’t be so bad if you got choose Flag Rush just to get it over with, but you join Horizon Open and have to wait until the current game is finished (which may be 5 minutes) and hope that Flag Rush comes up. Nah, not me!
Two games of single player King came up for me just now and I ended up quitting as I was not enduring another 6-7 wasted minutes (including the lengthy loading times) in the hope Flag Rush caame up next.
Total contempt by the devs for a lot of the user base if you ask me.
…a nd those loading time “Fast Travelling Other Players” take longer that the game sometimes. WHY?
Three attempts in a row and there’s been 2/3 stock cars racing off into the distance with nobody getting able to get anywhere near them. People quitting straight away. Completely ridiculous.
Lotus Elise '99 never fails me. I tried to stay in position but passed my team mates by just staying slow and central as they slid right and left and another kindly let me through after they lost momentum. A very relaxing RWD and not nearly as snappy as the short wheelbase suggests.
Even tho I dont mind the “toxic” online environmrnt so much, but I fully agree it shouldnt be forced on anyone. Theres some parts of this game I’ll never play unless I really want both cars. They really need more options to get the rewards instead of having to complete 90% of the playlist. To get both cars this week there was only 2 events I could skip,had to play PGG for the final 3 points or hope the daily challenges were not broken. I did PGG even though I hate that game mode. I know others like it,and thats fine with me. We all like different things and really should have more options to match it.
If they had a bumper cars event for 10 points most of us could probably enjoy the trial while all the ragers get thier crash on in bumper derby.
For the S1 open top speed zone challenge I used a Vuhl at 899. It only tops out at 193 but if you hit the gate at top speed it will keep the pace to beat the challenge. Everything else I tried failed. Seems the trick was to not have any installed parts that would push it into S2 clsss. I did just the bare minimum upgrades to hit 899 without risking going into S2,which it would do if I added anythong else.

Yeah - Finally got around to tuning the VUHL (AA…05…RR…TA) and got the thing done at last.
Again - to anybody who wants to diss me for responding to other people’s stuff on a different topic - give it a break. Life’s too short.
PGG is just a bonus now (since the latter days of FH4) so I just do it anyway. doesn’t matter where you’re team finishes - it’s just a win anyway so I’ll just take the Win or Lose, collect the points and move on. Shame that they ruined though. It’s actually not that bad to play when your teammates also know the rules and best strategies.
After trying for the past 2 days, I haven’t been able to find/enter a game with team flag at all.
There should be a hopper with team flag only events, to be entered from the “Festival Playlist”. It’s a waste of time and infuriating the way it is right now.

Looks like you need to keep at it to get a team games event - took a while for me as well but they do show up eventually.
