Festival Playlist events and rewards July 20-27 (Summer S23)

@TheGillesMuller Take my Christine for a date. Can’t decide if she is nice or not.
name: ISAT, SC: 111 346 447 (caution: she may slip a bit)
Anyone else is welcome to try her too
Extra points if you can decipher name of the tune. Not movie related

PS. I hate that last corner on Bahía. For me there is 20% chance of taking it properly. Other 80% is hitting the wall on entry, hitting the wall on exit, missing the CP (+ hitting the fence) or just braking too much. Skill issue, I guess :man_shrugging:

I thought the unbeatable AI in FH4 Trials wasn’t very challenging at all.

The only real challenge was not getting punted off the track by malicious AI with whacky physics that would send you flying even if you didn’t touch them.

The S2 Trials could be challenging but that was because the larger community can’t handle those cars.

Okay, am I nuts or is it literally impossible to do the second icons of speed? I’ve tried three times and I can’t get the Napier Railton anywhere near 140 MPH (on sand??) within the time limit.

Okay, apparently it’s just barely possible to hit 140 with about 1 second before time runs out…

Use auto with TCS & SC, max speed, avoid hitting anything & keep steering inputs to a bare minimum; you should nail it with no problem.

(So yeah, Captain Obvious I know, but literally what worked for me on 3rd attempt)

Here’s an example if anyone needs it:

Phew, finally finished icons of speed. I don’t know what they did to that Rimac to make it unable to even handle gentle curves.

@Bravo437 In retrospect, turning TCS and SC on would have definitely helped.

I love the new cars!!! Keep it up, T10!

Yeah maybe you’re right, it was probably the S2 trial that made them fun.
Overall my memory still tells me that trials in FH4 was better but that can just be my inbuilt disappointment and hate towards everything I dislike with FH5.
Atleast there has been some nice rides coming to the game lately and they even thru in the RB kit with the GR86👍 So with the return of Stellantis I only miss my Emory RSR 356 and the 68. firebird

There was also the Cross Country Trials, where the AI could pass through objects without losing momentum. The Ridge and Ambleside ones with a number of stone walls across the path were particularly troublesome.

Really enjoying this new season so far.

Falcon is a beauty.

Both Eventlabs this week were superb. Esp liked the Arco Raceway, really enjoyable drive.

This weeks stunts were straightforward.

Story is nice an well paced, not too hard. Tbh the only chapter that took me a few goes was the Napier beach one. Need to avoid those boats.

Looking forward the the rest of the season.

Superb as always @ziperrPL

Took me a while to beat my Bahía time but that was due to driving like a fool, beat it by 0.15 eventually, it was also more consistent for me and I was putting in high 56’s/low 57’s regularly before I beat it, naelm’s was around mid-high 57’s consistently.

I then beat my existing time on the very first run of Descansar and after a couple more improved it to a top 100 time at #85.

Good, thank you
Racing camshafts in stock engines works pretty well in Rods&customs category.
Would like to have shorter 6th and 7th gear, but never was happy with how they felt, so I left “stock ratio”.

Have you tried any powerbuild?

Season wasn’t too bad overall, only real complaints are that modern rally is probably the most boring vehicle class there is and I hate drifting and generally avoid those PR stunts, and the new story has some infuriating chapters unless you know the trick (Napier on the beach is nearly impossible without TCS and auto shifting, which is kind of against the spirit of the car and the challenge) along with the standard awful dialog and writing. The event lab courses this time were far better than some of the atrocities features in past seasons. Still too many online events, I just skip all of them except the trial since they aren’t worth my time or energy. Speaking of the trial, it was an interesting choice of cars and classes and I’m glad things are getting mixed up. I built a handling focused Chevy Bel Air and it did quite well.

Still ultimately feels like a chore list though, my gaming energy for Forza gets eaten up by the playlist every week so there’s very little left to actually enjoy the game afterwards or finish the expansions.

I came up with a livery for the new Deberti M******:

Share code:
154 524 178

Vinyl group:

Share code:
107 035 600

I have the crossed pistons, turbo, and “made in USA” tag in separate vinyl groups if anybody is interested in those. I made them as separate components to simplify the final one. The trickiest part was the squiggly line. That was a pain.

Festival Playlist tunes July 20-27 (Summer S23)

I heard you missed me I’m back! After not posting any tunes last week here is my late submissions for anyone that is still completing this weeks seasonals are those that like to rerun events with different tunes. Even though these are late. I’m certain you will enjoy the B class VW bug tune. I also have a great RWD S1 McLaren tune that is great on those hot wheels tracks. Of course my trial tune is making easy work of the trial.

Trial “Hot Rod”

1956 Plymouth Fury C600 AWD

Share Code: 173-664-140

Since I name my tunes “Trial Killer”. How could I not go with an absolute killer car like Christine? Let the killing continue with this tune.

FORZAthon Weekly

2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat (AWD) S1

Share Code: 535-733-585

Let’s see, 1,140 HP, AWD, Turbo with ALS, No Aero. Yeah this kitty will get you your stars at the speed trap and take the competition to gabblebees at the strip!

Event Lab “Arco Raceway”

Open Top Cars A800

2012 Lamborghini LP570-4 Spyder (AWD)

Nice tune here that you can also is in street scene lobby races.

Event Lab Circuito De Los Pinos

Track Toys A800

2016 Aston Martin Vantage GT12

Share Code: 580-928-327

Another one of my “downgrade hero’s” tunes. This one isn’t bad for street scene races either.

Danger Sign “Valle”

Jesko Anything Goes S2

Share Code: 183-064-856

Return if the murder tune. After some time off the murder tune returns and knocked out these so called “PR” challenges without breaking a sweat.

Drift Zone “Farmland Trail”

This is a new updated tune. Made changes to suspension, diff and tire PSI. Give it a go!

The perfect car for hot wheels. Lots of HP matched with the balanced turn in of a great RWD tune. Does not require a high level of throttle control even with TCS turned off. This is a fast easy driving NO AERO RWD tune. What’s not to like about that?

I don’t normally even bother with the Trial unless I’m trying to bank seasonal points for a car (like this one) but with tune, had 2 great races & easily placed 2nd for both. Had a good driver in a Ford Coupe that lead both races & we were far enough ahead of everyone that I had plenty of time to break to allow them to stay out ahead after taking a couple bad curves. Great job, glad you’re back!

On another note: it would seem my new practice now every time I receive a reward car notification from a playlist event is to immediately go into my garage & remove it. I really can’t understand why if they have programming built into the wheel spins that identifies that you already have the car you just won & gives you options to add, gift or sell it, why can they not do that with reward cars as well?!? Maybe this has been discussed & I just missed it, if so, my bad; just frustrating particularly after constantly getting the save limit messages…

Thought about it with the 2 old Ford Coupe’s but I don’t enjoy driving powerbuilds, should be stronger on Descansar in particular though.

Could you do anything with the Station Wagon? Would love to try and put that stupid wooden thing up in a decent place on a leaderboard somewhere lol

So apparently another “fun fact” when it comes to Horizon Open racing: just learned the hard way that being ghosted at launch to prevent contact does not apply to traffic…really?!
