Festival Playlist events and rewards Jan. 5-12 (Summer S16)

Find the big group and do the solo rewind. Smashing 50 in any mode is a pain. 20 would have been enough. Or let’s just turn this into Horizon Mario Brothers. How about smashing mushrooms next?

I know, smash 50 mushrooms and the whole map turns into 70’s psychedelic colors. And the new car is a Yellow Submarine.

In the german translation we have to win EVERY Cross Country Event and do 3 stars on EVERY Trailblazer. Nice.

How does that even happen ? How does it keep happening ! ? That’s not even a translation issue !

Yeah, I know exactly how it happens and keeps happening. And why it will keep happening. Frankly I’m sometimes surprised they get English right.

Festival Playlist Tunes Jan. 5-12 (Summer S16)

Here is my tunes for this week’s seasonal’s. I appreciate everyone’s downloads, likes and feedback! Thank you everyone.

The Trial | Blast from the Past | Road Racing | (C600) Ford Retro Muscle Cars

Both of these cars are pretty equal. I personally prefer the torque that the V8 provides from the SVT. Although it’s heavier than the SVO it feels quicker. They are both easy to drive and consistent. I ran the trial multiple times with both tunes and never lost.

SVO Share Code: 369-393-217

EventLab | JAMES MIATA PRESENTS Alpine Heights Race Day | (A800) Ford

RTR Mustang Share Code: 688-850-787

I really like this tune. It’s easy to drive. Very consistent with its handling and it just looks good!

Speed Trap | Avenida | (B700) Ford 1970 or earlier |

68 Mustang Share Code: 127-670-483

This tune is your Swiss Army knife for this week. Great tune for all PR challenges and it’s even a B Class lobby winner online.

Speed Zone (2 pts) | Riviera Maya | (B700) Ford 1970 or earlier |

68 Mustang Share Code: 127-670-483

This tune is your Swiss Army knife for this week. Great tune for all PR challenges and it’s even a B Class lobby winner online.

Championship | Midnight Muscle | Street Racing | (A800) Ford Modern Muscle Cars

RTR Mustang Share Code: 688-850-787

I’m posting 2 tunes but you want to use the RTR. This car is definitely ready to rock! It’s RWD, no aero but super easy to drive. You may want to use the Mustang GT for the last race with rain but it’s not necessary.

Mustang GT Share Code: 120-046-873

This is a fine tune. It’s has aero so it extremely noobie friendly.

Championship | Scrambling for Time | Dirt Racing | (A800) Ford AWD

Are people sleeping on the Puma?? This is the perfect dirt car! Short wheel base, light weight, 400+HP, AWD. It checks all the boxes and it absolutely destroys the drivatars. You could even use it online to check off another challenge this week.

99 Puma Share Code: 157-017-060

Championship | Fording a Path | Dirt Racing | (B700) Ford Classic Rally

In my opinion the GT70 is the only car to use for this championship. It handles better than any other option, has great acceleration and extremely light weight.

HOT WHEELS EVENTS

Danger Sign | Treetops | (B700) Ford 1970 or earlier.

No reason to complicate it or make you download unnecessary extra tunes. Use the Mustang!

Championship | Speed Boost | (S1 998) Ford

Ford GT Share Code: 166-070-257

The GT will do the trick here. Not much to Hot Wheels tracks just drive fast.

Yeah, Polish translation is equally bad, e.g. descriptions for Treasure Hunts usually make little to no sense and it’s impossible to complete them

This I find highly interesting. If you read through the game credits, it seems there were a high number of testers from Poland. You would think they would catch translation errors. But probably one of the requirements for being a game tester is to speak fluent English. So the testers don’t even test for translation errors.

I had that happen to me too. I was quite the distance ahead and in a straight line the AI caught up and passed me as if they were one class higher. That’s not something new. The AI in this game (specifically FH5) is the biggest atrocity I’ve ever seen in any AAA racing game I’ve played. It’s one of my big disappointments with FH5. On paper it sounded like a good idea, but it turned out worst than terrible. Also lately I notice that AI have become a lot worse rammers than they where before. Not sure if it’s just coincidence or game code tweaking.

I hope they do it like you say.

Super 7: Super Wheelspin

For that first video at HMC just wondering could you see the 1st player on the track at all or were they invisible? And was this horizon tour?

I’m wondering if they had this bug :

  1. You create a public co-op racing convoy and someone joins
  2. You begin a custom eventlab race but they dont accept within the 10 seconds and therefore leave the convoy
  3. You instead load up horizon tour ( not sure if this occurs with open etc)
  4. The first race will load up with your eventlab race instead while others will be racing on the normal track.

Deoending on how short or long your eventlab is can affect how quickly you finish.

Im wondering if thats what happened to the first place person. I tried submitting a ticket to support regarding this as this has happened to myself a few times. but they didnt even send me a reply back

It was Tour and the same thing continued in the other 2 races, unbelievable speed on any straight bit of road, I really should have recorded more.

If you go to around the 9-10 second mark you can see their blue marker just coming into where the speed zone starts in the open world, it glitches out in the corner and then you’ll see their marker absolutely fly down the straight, they go from the start of the speed zone to the finish in around 17-18 seconds, impossible for any A class car let alone any A class Chevrolet or Dodge which the Tour was and they weren’t even in a good car for that restriction, I’m not 100% sure which one but I’m sure it was a modern Corvette they were using.

It’s a shame there is no way to find profiles within the game because I’m sure they were 1 of the 10 star + Level 2999 bunch too, despite only currently clocking in 207 hours playtime (and it’s been a long time since that incident).

Edit: Thankfully they’d uploaded 3 designs so I was able to find them, I originally added them on this alt as I was hoping to find them from Rivals times, couldn’t find a single one (which honestly didn’t surprise me) but…

And yes that really is their profile picture, PG/MS say 3 year olds can’t use a General Lee design on a Charger but them being able to view an image like that in-game is perfectly alright I guess.

Here is a couple of bonus tunes I did this morning.

Crown Vic Police Share Code: 228-874-643
Made a full on police car tune. Push bar, lights siren. A fun way to run the trial and literally chase everyone down. This car has no aero and it’s rear wheel drive. Do the rear end will step out on you if you over cook the corner. Brake earlier and brake often and you will be ok. Depending on your skill level this car will get you 1st overall and definitely in the top 5. Load up this tune and your police siren horn and go get you some!

21 Bronco Share Code: 131-408-241
1,000+ A800. If you haven’t hit that a trailblazer 3star goal. Here is your tune. I did a handful of trailblazers runs with this tune and 3 stared every one of them.

This is the absolute saddest most low effort and lazy content that PG has put out. You have the renault and MG license, theres 0 reason these cars couldnt be in the game at launch or at least in a more appropriate season. Instead no, #fordzathon has renaults and MGs with absolutely 0 new fords or ford related cars or content added to the game. I hope these forums are blown up with posts telling PG that this is ridiculous. As much fun as i have with this game, seeing typical AAA tone deaf behavior absolutely drives me insane.

50k skill score daily is more difficult than I thought. Around 80% of time I hit rock when I have 40k-49k. Rest of the time I hit rock around 80k. No, I can’t just stop after 50k.

Thank you for mentioning the GT70 as a good stock option. I never would have thought to try it, because the playlist description reads “pre-1970.” Forza writing strikes again!

it really was easy with that car, I was surprised

So I jumped on today to check out the #FORDzathon series, work on some designs & did a few events for the first time in a couple of weeks. I have to say it was a pretty somber feeling during the events, considering I drive exclusively in cockpit & my character outfit since basically the launch of the game has been Ken Block’s racing suit. I ultimately found myself in the Hoonicorn, shredding tires in a bit of a sudo “tribute” to Ken.

We often get into a lot of petty topics, complaints & or frustrations here, but for this type of event to occur, I think it brings things back into perspective & shows us how quickly things can change in an instant & how valuable our time really is.

So I’d like to say rest in peace Ken…you will be missed. With respect.
