Yeah, there’s something really off about The Trial this week. It was like… easy? LOL
I did the Horizon Tour (Anything Goes) in a S1 Bentley and smoked 'em (think that was a ugrundy tune). That really helped knock off a few of those 100 miles.
I’m glad the challenges seem a “little” more manageable this week. I think I rage quit 4-5 times last week. It was close to permanent.
Completed the Bentley challenge and gifted the car to a “new” player. What a bad experience. I used the dirt horizon tour with British cars that is up at 24 minutes after the hour for the daily, the tour and 29 miles of the Bentley reqs. Maybe one day they will have the option for skinnier tires on this car. Don’t worry, I didn’t set any records and I did not feel at all like James Bond.
I’m reality struggling to grasp the grind for cheap FH4 auto show cars here and fake engagement generated by questionable playlist.
Tomorrow daily … no comment.
Anyway I just spent a great evening on snow, so no gaming tonight.
Some points you just have to let go, right? I’ve accepted that there are parts of this game I simply don’t want to play. Battle Royal and games of Tag isn’t why I’m here. So I’ll NEVER complete a Season. That’s ok. I just want the cars.
Luckily it seems you can just squeak by with enough points to claim everything without having to complete all the goofy online stuff but that is very dependent upon all the other events going as planned for the entire season, which at this point we all have reason to question. And, of course, you must win The Trail every week.
If they would give us a few other options to make up enough points to avoid the stuff we don’t want to do, I’d have few complaints about this game.
I actually quite enjoyed driving the Bentley for the 100 miles 3 lap Goliath. Yes it felt like a bit of an enduro race at 45 mins (by far the longest race I have ever completed in any of the Forza Horizon games) but the car tuned up was pleasantly a really nice drive.
Going to tackle the Season Championships over the next few days.
Started on the S2 Street Race and it was utterly brutal. Night, hyperfast cars and AI on rails again!
This Bentley Blower is actually not a bad drive. I just did a Horizon Tour A800 Anything Goes using the first A800 tune I saw. Blitzed the AI and always top 2. Always 1st in the Point 2 Point sessions as well.
That alone knocked out 43.3km of the 160.9km required and completed the Horizon Tour daily (and would have completed the Tour one if it didn’t already auto-complete).
Big thumbs up to my surprise on this car with this 100 mile challenge. Discovered a fun drive.
Horizon Open I just selected is an A800 as well. So I get to do that in the Bentley Blower, too. Half done by just doing two other weekly challenges. Definitely not the end of the world.
Playground Games understands that the Forzathon Weekly Challenge “Blower Bentley Chapter 4: Secret Agent” pushes it from being a fun road trip across Mexico into a bit of a grind. To make up for this, we’re adding 100 Forzathon Points to all #ForzaHorizon5 player accounts today.
Head to your in-game Message Center, tab over to Gifts, highlight the GIFTED FORZATHON POINTS message, and select Download to add them to your account.
Just saw this but why not just gift us the Blower instead??
I still don’t have enough CR to buy the thing yet and I’ll never drive it after doing the challenge.
It’s much better than nothing, but I think the only players who will be saved by this are those who already owned a Bentley, or just had enough cr to have no problem buying one.
The 100 mile distance is also an issue, but the more problematic part of this week’s Weekly Forzathon is the price of this car.
It would have been better to gift all players 4 million cr, or a Bentley.
Of course, I understand that this 100 points is only to compensate for the problems in Chapter 4, but I thought this response was not very good and would only make the community’s anger more intense.
Trial was easier but I git horrible teams in my two attempts. The first I knew we were in trouble when I saw a low presitige driver in a M-B Truck FE. Yep, he was all out ramming through everything at the start and placed dead last. I got 1st and 2nd but our team of three lost the first two races. The second attempt was a team of 6 with one guy who was skilled but a bad teammate. I was in second near the end and he rammed me on a corner knocking me down to 4th. Then on race two he rammed me outside of a gate. He got first that race but out team barely won. My rewind acted up and I wasn’t able to finish higher than 8th that race.
