Reminders and Notes:

If you encounter the game not behaving as expected, follow the basic troubleshooting steps before posting:

  1. Read the event requirements - both car type and class - to make sure you are eligible to complete it.
  2. Reboot your device and try again to see if that clears the issue.
  3. Read the Known Issues article at Forza Support and posts in this thread to see if there’s an issue or a workaround.
  4. Report the issue by using the link at the bottom of any article at Forza Support to Submit a Ticket with your details so it can be logged and investigated.

Tips

  • Remember to toggle the Festival Playlist menu to see the requirements for each event - both performance class and eligible vehicles.
  • You can View Eligible Cars from the Festival Playlist menu, and when entering an event location, but this may only show cars currently eligible under the combined event restrictions. There may be eligible cars in a lower PI class that can be upgraded to become eligible for the current seasonal event.

Horizon Special Themes
Horizon Special Themes are another way of grouping cars. You can find these in the Blueprint menu at any event location. David vs. Goliath offers a choice of small cars (Austin-Healey Sprite, BMW Isetta) vs. large vehicles (Local Motors Rally Fighter, Mercedes-Benz Unimog).

Accolades

Lanterns should now be visible around the dunes on the West side of the map - smashing these not only unlocks the Collectibles challenge but also the Evolving World Accolade “Another One Lights the Dust!” which awards the Blue Camo Utility Trousers.

  • During the New Year, smash 25 Lanterns in the Toyota AT38 or the Toyota AT37 [disregard the incorrect model year in the description]

The Bugatti EB110 Super Sport can be upgraded to S2 to be eligible for the “Athletes” Championship. While you’re at it, you can use the EB110 to unlock the “Cars Can’t Fly!” Danger Sign Accolade:

  • Earn 3 stars at the Basejump Danger Sign in the 1992 Bugatti EB110 Super Sport

That Speed Trap is tough in a S2.

I haven’t tried yet so I apologize in advance if I’m off but S2 is one point shy of the highest class. A speed trap can’t be too difficult can it?

My impression after trying it with several cars and tunes is that this speed trap is a bit difficult to get enough acceleration when approaching from the south because of the compound corner in front of it, and the uphill slope makes it difficult to gain speed.
The approach from the north side is downhill, but rather more difficult to get enough help than the south side because it is closer to the speed trap than the south side.
In addition to this disgusting layout, the target score is 40km/h higher than 3 Star score.

What’s more, the performance direction of the S2 class cars varies greatly from model to model.
Unless finding a car with decent handling and overwhelming power, this challenge will be a difficult one.

Koenigsegg One:1 is probably a good choice and is recommended.
But I must say that I dislike this speed trap.
I can’t really explain why, but it was the most frustrating season PR stunt I’ve ever played. That was a more unpleasant experience than last week’s F40 speed trap.

Thanks for this. Used a tuned One and got it on the first attempt.

Just about getting the right car!

Just did it in Jesko using DUBS’ offroad tune.

  • came from south
  • big cut in second to last turn
  • cut only slightly in last corner, lifted just enough that I don’t go offroad anymore

Even got new PB.

I used the Mosler (342 504 332) - Codcaos WR tune. Approached from the South and went through at 217.5 mph (about 20 mph over the required limit).

Used the Rimac and got 205mph with ease.

Think thats harder one without blueprint. For me the night is not rly working

I wasn’t surprised and expected as much from the last time Forza didn’t know it was “night” in freeroam. But the first event I loaded wasn’t at night (I couldn’t recall which was and didn’t go looking for a blueprint right off). And when I quit out of the event it was almost night so I figured why not try it “au natural” again. Three tries, three fails, even one with the Chinese Lanterns just like the pic. Then I had a crazy idea… what if ALL that I have in the frame is “night” ? So I pointed the camera straight up, nothing but stars in the frame, and… it worked ! IT WORKED ! ! …such a stupid bug.

I had a different experience. I had to abandon the speed trap with the F40 last week - the best I could do was still 2kms short. I must have tried a dozen different tunes and even purchased another F40 from Autoshop as someone said the barn find version wouldn’t do it. However, for this week, my 8yo grandson and I used the Rimac Concept 2 with S2-998 tune and it worked straight away. The Rimac has very powerful acceleration and I think this was a big advantage with the relatively short run-up.

We have both had issues with (a) the night photo and (b) Eliminator car drops. The Eliminator challenge result didn’t show up at first (did it twice), but later we noticed it was acknowledged and the points issued (!) We are using an Xbox Series X and Xbox One - same problems, but different hardware (same “platform” though).

I also had the same issue of only winning one race in the Trial, but winning the championship. It was my second attempt so I don’t know if the results were added together, if so, its a wierd thing to do.

In case you’re wondering which event is bugged this week. It’s the “secure three car drops within one game of Eliminator”
I secured three of them. Didn’t register. Because of course it didn’t.

Edit: taking photo at night doesn’t work either. Good work.

Maybe it’s like Christmas trees and you have to get two to three times as many for it to register…

Worked fine for me, I secured 4. Maybe that made a difference. Who knows?

I just had an Eliminator game where I secured 5 car drops and I still didn’t get credit for Third Time Lucky. Ugh.

Try restarting the game worked for few players

Weirdly enough it just auto-completed for me a good 45 minutes after the Eliminator match. Didn’t even restart the game, I was just driving around randomly and out of nowhere it popped up as completed. Strange, but I’ll take it.
