Festival Playlist events and rewards Aug 3 - 10 (Winter S23)

Sorry but I’ve seen these kind of posts so many times from you now that I just don’t buy them anymore.

You calling the tracks + cars in your original post says it all, the 300SL is a quality B class car full stop not just in this restriction and Riviera is one of the best road courses for a Trial race because of the large distance between the start + 1st proper corner, giving it as much chance as possible for everyone to get space between each other.

You are either incredibly, ridiculously, preposterously, impossibly unlucky or it’s something to do with you yourself as to why you seem to fall victim to rammers more than any of us who post about the Trial every week.

If you don’t want to entertain that thought then all I can say is enjoy it continuing to happen to you, because as much we all agree it shouldn’t happen and that anyone who rams/griefs is absolute pond life it will continue to do so if you make no effort to counter it.

What part of they are smashing into me on the hairpins do you not understand? I have not posted about the trial in months. Last time was May 4 time before was Oct ‘22. Much easier to check now bud and it was also tracks with horrible hairpins again. So if they know people act like that don’t give them a gift to act like that. It’s not hard.

I would take b modern rally over unlimited off-road any day of the week. Ugh.

Tankpool it was out of spite

What hairpins? The closest thing to one on Riviera is that 1st corner and it’s massively wide, you’ve got enough time on the approach to look behind you if you’re worried a rammer is behind you and take that corner appropriately depending on where they are.

To me it crosses the line of rightfully calling ramming out into just poor excuse territory, it’s clear you don’t do anything to try and prevent or outwit a rammer, then you complain when it happens and blame every other possible circumstance.

Others here might get rammed in this Trial, I might do when I run it again but I will not be blaming the restriction or Riviera for it like a petulant child, I’ll blame the idiot doing it and myself for not doing enough to avoid it or get away from them quickly enough.

Ignored forever

Oh I’m gutted…

Isn’t my fault you’re too ignorant to see I might actually have a point.

I have no idea. It was the third race, and we were losing it anyway, so… maybe he didn’t find the “quit” panel in the menu?

The Bola Ocho circuit is just not designed for anything beyond Class C from my memory. It causes crashfests like the recent trial I did. I used the Cobra convertible in this case.

What a horrible Trial, saved by an amazing Cashless tune.

Every one of my teammates had the driving ability of Nicholas Latifi, and they were all driving stock cars. One of them missed a checkpoint ON THE STRAIGHT about 200ft from the finish line in the first race, where I came home third after holding up the AI so those idiots could get through.

Second race was even worse. Four people between me and my teammates, and two were complete dead weight. Last and second last. It was actually three, but I got out front and basically parked in front of the AI so he could get through with some incredibly sloppy “overtakes”. We barely won.

Thanks for the tune Cashless, wouldn’t have won the Trial without it.

I must have been lucky. Both ai and human were ok this week. TBF I wasn’t in the pack long in either race and the ai did finish second both times but it’s the team win. Last few trials have been good I think.

Had worse ai in the modern sports car sc.

Glad to hear it worked well even if your teammates left something to desire… TY!

Anyone got some feedback on the GR86?

I’ll give @CashlessPlains8 Miura trial tune another thumbs up. Quick and easy to drive.

With all the crashing talk I managed to hit a nice snooker shot off a jump in one of the seasonal championships.

I don’t know why I am the only one to get verbally assaulted when others complain too. I just want this game to be better but I guess it’s a lost cause. I am tired of being frustrated by it. I’m just starting to brake for the turn and the guy behind just doesn’t stop at all. Pretty sure I never called anyone ignorant before. Oh well. Empathetic badge is given too easily it seems… I should not have to avoid rammers like the plague in the first place. The time penalties don’t work in regular online racing. They refuse to even try and fix that. A wrong door handle seems to be top priority. It’s all out if wack with this game. I can only blame the developers. Why do you think a bunch left all at once?

Honestly, this weekly playlist thread is starting to remind me of the time clock sequence in Groundhog Day; if it weren’t for the dates, they’d be hard to tell apart most of the time.
The Trial has always been this way & is never going to change, which is why you either choose to roll the dice for a decent team & 10 points or simply save yourself (what is for me) the headache & avoid it. I’ve personally had the range of experiences typically described here, but I’ve found that a “courteous” team is usually the exception.
It’s also pretty clear that the setup of the Trial attracts some players who have a goal of creating as much mayhem as possible without concern for others or being reported (see also multiple GTs).
IMO, some of the best trials are the stock only options, which at least helps level the field a bit.
I also know there are those who enjoying running the trial repeatedly, given it is one of the few options for live racing competition, so it’s just down to what you prefer I guess.

I spotted 2 in the wild in the custom open street. They performed very well there.

It’s a good RWD drift car with the built 2J and RB kit…

Sorry, that’s all I’ve done with it so far…

Two times 1st place which felt like cheating.

Because anything to do with racing is completely ignored. Maybe if they would just listen for once things would improve and it would not be repetitive. They only way is to hammer them repeatedly.

Some people just can’t seem to accept the fact that others have different experiences in races and differing opinions. And they view this game with the rose colored glasses that if we all just “git gud” then we’ll all be racing in the #1 position and all hold the fastest time on the leaderboards and all will be swell in horizonland.

They just can’t grasp the fact that all players are different and all play at differing levels. And your “git gud” is different from my “git gud” is different from every other “git gud”. And that they don’t even know how to properly spell “get good”!

Someone mentioned “Groundhog Day”. Try “What about Bob” just treat them like a wrong number and hang up. Don’t get hung up on them!
