Festival Playlist events and rewards Aug. 18-25 (Summer S11)

It is a good playlist so farThe speedzone is challenging. The trial was only let down because of the players I was lumbered with who just kept lazily body slamming into 90 degree corners. Got the trial on the 3rd attempt. Haven’t tried the championships. yet.

I (finally) got two stars on the skill section of the Mexico Story but the game doesn’t recognise that and it’s still at one. 12 forzathon points for the Mexican story – I don’t see that happening for me.

Done except the Dailies. The Trial was the slog that I expected. One runaway AI in each race and teammates who would bump into you and slow you down in an already slow vehicle.

Used a tuned Mini with my Peanuts livery for the Mountaintop Danger Sign.

Probably got enough Horizon Open air skills while waiting for a race to end.

Trial has been absolutely brutal so far. Best finish I’ve seen from any human player across multiple attempts is 5th. Usually it’s even worse.

And we get a whole month of untuned cars in the Trial.

I must have got lucky,we had 1st 5 places each race + 1 who 0 pointed each race,so easy win

Took me over an hour to beat this pretty bad trial. Only advice is try to wreck every drivatar you can. That was the only way we won. These Minis are too slow to recover from any mistakes, and unless you get a field of perfect drivers, someone is going to make a mistake. And when they do, they’ll likely take half the team with them.

Knew the Trial was going to be a mixed bag this week. Stock D281 tune for everyone. Poor drivers cannot compensate with a tune that has more speed of better handling. The AI goes back to their better driving. And it takes longer to catch up assuming you drive well and can get around your team.

But then there is always the slight chance you get on a team that knows how to drive as a team.

Just redid the Trial. Finished first in the first race and the team easily won, but on race two there was chaos going into the first 90-degree left turn. I was wishing I was further back as I knew it wasn’t going to be good. The collisions and inevitable stoppage put me in last place. Took forever to climb back and finish in 5th place but we managed to pull it off in two.

Not sure what I think of the EV rivals Chinese car.

WV Class 5, first C class tune I found in recommended list (by PaciF3ast). First try.

Come from NE, cut cross country so you can get highest possible speed at beginning. Make sure you’re well above 150 km/h after splash and first corner. If your speed is still above 130 km/h after second corner it’s easy from there.

It is a fun one to get 3 stars on. In the Hoonicorn v2 the best I’ve gotten is just over 100mph. Need to find a better S1 or S2 car that can drift through those corners even better.

188,78 km/h in DJS’ S1 tune Trailcat

Used the Trailcat with the S1846 tune I had installed myself a long time ago.

117.84 mph (189.65 kph)

Same here, not the same tune but an S1 Trialcat seemed to work for me from the South after several tries. This one was probably the toughest of everything this week, the rest was pretty straightforward.

Actually really enjoyed the trial this week after the previous nerfed ones. These stock ones are interesting and actually challenge you. I had a great team and whilst it was plain sailing we did manage to win.

Eventlab was also a really nice track and better than some of the awful ones in the past months. Really enjoyed that one and well thought out although I would have liked to do it with some opponents.

The rest was fairly easy. Crosscountry Baja Bug for me and tuned Nova for the pre 70’s cars which all seemed to work well. Bel Air for the street race.

Treasure Chest seemed a point pointless with the 5 mile drive but I suppose I could have just slapped on an S1 tune.

Getting 3 stars in most of the chapters was quite easy. Used shortcut mentioned here in Mach E chapter. In last chapter followed road most of the time, took shortcuts every time possible. Most impactful ones are near end. Now to figure out where to take shortcut in Golf race.

I reversed and then went down the side of the town cross country. Gets you to the finish in about 1:15 ish. Easy.

Looks like you’re right. I guess I should have expected PGG to be completely incapable of designing a functional UI and UX. Nowhere does it say that this is what it does, leading to people like me thinking we’ve been screwed, yet again. I appreciate the clarification from you though, it’s taken away some of my stress and for that I am grateful.

That‘s difficult, indeed, as certainly no Volkswagen would survive a jump off the bridge after you have crossed the river, nor the drive along the water edge to the lower straight of 180° bend of the road coming down from the hill.
I wish you good luck finding a shortcut.

On wet mud even… brilliant idea. or something

Cross the bridge, then go left.

The completed events points is 57 points, but I get only 53 points plus 1 point of daily challenge. Why I miss this 3 points when I have completed all events.
