Winter Season Festival Playlist (FH5 Horizon Cars & Coffee - S36)

Here are the details on this week’s events and rewards. Share tips along with your tuning setup codes.

The 2022 Mazda MX-5 RF is this week’s seasonal reward, and the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupe is unlocked with 80 points from the Series.

WINTER | DRY SEASON

The season starts at 7:30am Pacific on August 1 and ends Thursday, August 8, 2024 2:30 PM
This is the third season of the Horizon Cars & Coffee series.

PLAYLIST POINTS

Points are accumulated across all four seasons. Each event in the Festival Playlist has a number of points to earn noted in the bottom left corner of the event tile. Accumulate points with any combination of completed events to earn the first reward car, and continue earning points from remaining events to earn the second reward car. Cars noted as Seasonal Exclusive are not available in the Autoshow, so grab them while you can! But don’t worry if you miss them, these cars may come back again for future Festival Playlists.

SEASON EVENT DETAILS

Toggle the menu to show the rewards and restrictions for each event - if you complete the event in a car outside the restrictions or fail to meet the target, you won’t get the reward and points from completion. You must have unlocked the Hall of Fame with Accolade points to enter the Trial. Access to Rally Adventure events require defeating the three team champions. Access to Hot Wheels events requires the Hot Wheels Expansion DLC; users without the DLC will still be able to gold the season and unlock the “Min, Meet Max” Achievement without these event points.

MONTHLY RIVALS

The total point value of Monthly events are divided by four when applied to individual seasons; completing all four events will apply up to 4 points applied to each season in this series. Post a clean lap to complete Rivals events. Cars are stock and provided as free rentals for the event. This month’s Rivals offer an opportunity to Lamborghini and Mazda before they’re available to collect as rewards, and the DLC Autozam and Mitsubishi without owning the JDM Jewels Car Pack.

Looking at the playlist, the requirement to get 6 ultimate speed skills in custom open racing, may not be as straightforward as it sounds. I’m guessing a fast S2 car is the way to go but unless the tracks offered have decent straights, then sustaining the required speed to reach ultimate speed isn’t easy.

This kind of challenge annoys me. I don’t mind engaging in Open racing as part of the playlist but it should be about racing, not looking/hoping, that a certain skill is achieved.

I’ll be hoping that I don’t get into the current custom race and am left waiting. Technically, you’re still in open racing and a fly up and down the highway should give 6 ultimate speed skills easily.

Agreed, these kind of challenges are a pain. I will just get in something fast, go into Open Racing, hope that “Event is in progress” fly down the highway and then quit

Taking an S2 Jesko up and down the highway in a lobby waiting room should work.

I find that if you leave it to the last couple of seconds to confirm your car choice, you will often miss the first race

You can get the skills even when you’re in free roam and a race is going on. Get 3 6 ult speed skills and quit the lobby

there is a bug in our favour - maybe

on those occasions when open dumps us in free play while a race is going on because [reasons] it’s usually possible to tick off these sorts of things very easily because there’s nothing else around, except other player cars (they’re not ghosted, though) - this only happens on the first attempt to join a lobby from free-roam

so, pick an S2 lobby, go to the motorway at one end, start the task, fingers crossed for that bug, if so floor it, if not maybe try and do it “properly” or just quit and try again

I remember one of those tasks for getting something like drift skills during an Open race. I got dumped into the waiting lobby, did my drifts, and got out of there within 30 seconds.

Was going to go Corvette 02 which had it slightly over my Stingray 20 on the Plaza course on Unbeatable.

Then i checked my tune and realised it was from way back in 2021

Popped your tune on and it’s clearly leading over the Corvette now

The Caddies for me are slip sliding all over, no matter the tune. I prefer to race them on Scramble circuits, they seem to do well for me in that environment instead of asphalt or cobbled road.

I was watching Ferrari last night and I’ve decided i want to do a lab event using the cars from the Millne Milage.

It’s going to be a lengthy race with some nice drops, countryside, and town streets involved as well.

Should i make it stock and unbeatable?

Just checked and it can’t be set to stock which is disappointing.

I suppose i can see what the 50s cars are at PI wise as stock and limit it to that i suppose.

Like if the majority were B or A then set that as the class

my favorite tune this week is actually the deberti shop van, it barely sneaks into b700 and it’ll be a fun option for playground games
