Turn 10 myself & I’m sure many others would like to know if your going to be offering to re-pay back the money you have taken quite readily from us by what can only be classed as deception? I dont usually go for car packs as I’ve always personally begrudged giving you more money after already purchasing the game, but on this occassion after seeing that the Mercades Racing Truck was available myself & a few friends thought it’d be a giggle to purchase. Not once in the process of paying & downloading was there anything on screen to say that the vehicle would’nt be available in online multiplayer races. So please imagine my suprise after 5 public races when i can no longer race said truck. Honestly I’d really like to know how you’ve justified this move both morally (after taking peoples hard earned money) & legally (as stated above you have taken money by deception). I want my money back. By black listing the truck on the very day it was released you have managed to pee off a lot of people who I am dam sure feel the exact same way I do. Do the right thing turn 10 & offer full refunds to the people you have clearly ripped off.
I look forward to your response.
It’s literally unbelievable that T10 didn’t see this coming and have a truck lobby set up from the start.
Instead they’re going through exactly the same cycle of add content-> get complaints about content → blacklist content → get complaints about content no longer working that they’ve gone through several times before.
These grumbles were 100% predictable and 100% avoidable at virtually 0 cost, and yet they’re going to end up with another load of angry customers. Again.
Ah ok I see how this is. Lets start by clearing a few things up been as though you are ‘supposed’ to be an impartial moderator. Yes I posted over a year ago about an UNFAIR ban I’d recieved. Lets go into the details of that. I was in a room one evening racing for lap times. There happened to be a chap in at the time who’d taken a disliking to me because I was beating his time, he then persisted to keep hitting my back end as I was taking corners. He was also using me as his own personal brake so yep, hands in the air after an hour of putting up with his petty behaviour I lost the plot & got a g wagon out to give him some grief back. Wether you see my actions as wrong or justified please feel free to draw your own conclusion. He then told me he was friends with a turn 10 moderator & I could look forward to a ban. The next day I recieved the dreaded ban message from you so obviously he had told the truth & in fact was pally pally with a certain moderator that I will not name. When I approached you guys for clarification/advice I was told I was the one in the wrong & that because I had’nt been a whiny little b*tch & recorded game clips to send to you which would have shown the whole race in a completley different light you were banning me anyway. As for irony, I found it ‘ironic’ myself that said moderator then went on to lock down my post when he was questioned as to why he thought it fair to ban someone on his friends behalf even though it was his friend who had started all the bother. I implore any of you, please come & have a race with me & make your own conclusion as to what sort of racer I am. There are always 2 sides to a story as much as this moderator will have you believe otherwise by pointing out my previous & only post.
FOR THE RECORD: There may be “two sides” but only one is correct.
ANY bans issued by Turn 10 employees (and Turn 10 employees only) are based on violations of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct in accordance with evidence. No evidence, no ban.
Since you mentioned it, the seven-day ban you received in early May, 2015, for unsportsmanlike conduct, i.e., intentionally crashing other players and thus disrupting the online races not once, not twice, but in six different ones.
Along with you, a Friend of yours - both of you driving identical “police” Mercedes G65 cars - were shown in six different in-game replays (not “clips”). You worked in tandem for such things as crashing cars before reaching the start lines, ramming through the first turns, driving side-by-side to block and wreck others, etc. Six times, six different replays.
That is the truth of the matter on a well-deserved ban to you and your Friend.
Sorry but you can’t just send in clips and get someone banned, you must send the whole replay in so they can switch to any car and any POV. I’m pretty sure some people even get themselves banned when reporting a wrecker because they did exactly what you did and retaliated. So if he was crashing you and you were crashing him chances are you both went on vacation.
Zedeeyn, I could’nt agree more. I believe the quote you refer to goes something along the lines of ‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over & over again, yet expecting different results’.
Very fitting to the logic of turn 10 I’m afraid.
This truck would have been modelled a number of months back, whereby the wreckes of online were not such an issue. Alas, T10 didn’t realise the issue due to arise - they couldn’t tell the future (shocker).
Then, it comes out. People write posts in their 10s about banning it from hoppers, so they banned it. Now, hours later, posts like this turn up?
I get it, you bought it and can’t use it in the hoppers, and yeah, I kinda agree, it’s a bit naff. However, I’d rather it be black listed than used for the opposite effect of its purpose.
There’s a long list of community members requesting the truck to be MP blacklisted. Now a new list starts requesting to put it back (some of whom also complains about the wrecking state of MP). You don’t need Einstein to realise that the insanity lies elsewhere.
Dribbly Midget, I understand & appreciate exactly where your coming from. Problem with your comment is not everyone who purchased the truck bought it to cause mayhem with. Yes I fully agree that the minority have bought it to intimidate/bully cars on the track, but not everyone. What about these people? The majority? Do you not agree we deserve a refund?
Given the list of other vehicles that have been black listed from online play, I am surprised you didn’t anticipate the truck being black listed as well.
There are other ways to enjoy using this vehicle. I know I have.
Beyond that, I am not sure how by any stretch of the imagination that you would be entitled to a refund just because this truck cannot be used the way you want to use it.
Luckeydoug, to be honest with you mate I usually to prefer to play forza 5, personally I find you get less idiots in your room (my opinion only) so in answer to your question, no I did’nt anticipate the truck been black listed. & why on earth would I? Is’nt that the job of turn 10 & not myself to pre-think what problems may arise before even offering such a vehicle in the dlc pack? I appreciate everyones got there own opinions on this subject as we are all entitled to. But why should’nt I & others demand a refund? Imagine walking into Game for example, buying for arguments sake a new xbox. You get it home, plug it in & it works great for 10 minutes then suddenly stops working. Would you not go back to the shop & demand an exchange or a refund? If so how is this any different?
Either people will complain about it in multiplayer lobbies because of idiots using them
Or will complain that it is black listed and now they want their money back
