Featured Tours of Motorsport, have to exit after each event to do upgrades?

Just coming back after taking a long time off. I noticed I’m doing the velocity tour and after each race I don’t get the option to spend my upgrade points on the vehicle,l it just takes me to the next event. I don’t remember the builders cup being this way. I thought after each event it would pop you to a screen where you could spend your points upgrading your car.

It seems a bit ridiculous that I have to back out of the entire event after each round, All the way back to the main menu to select “upgrade and tune” just to spend my upgrade points. Was this a change made on purpose or just some oddity of the new events?

Is it a series with a race car by any chance?

A little while ago, they decided that race cars didn’t need upgrade or whatever, and thus removed the upgrade menu from the flow of career for race cars. Even though you can bring a modified race cars and it’s not a spec event at all.

Prior discussion about this issue here:

Ah! Had no clue either what thats supposed to be good for.
Just one push more to do it quick&dirty with low involvement.

Being able to finetune cars on the fly (unlike rivals or private race) was what appealed to me about this SP-events.

Little surprise: T10 has proven mastery in abandoning the positives and not touching the poor parts.
Like in excluding low class rotation and having a forum start littered with necrotising PR-Threads but pushing the most relevant discussions out of visibility into one of their graveyards.
