Then answer me this:

Why would Chinese Companies invest in Video Games right now, with the CCP going on an anti-video-game crusade?

I am happy with the preparation of the second expansion to FH5. However, I have been missing motorcycles in the game for a long time. The only game is The Crew ubisofts series which has so many bugs and problems that it makes no sense to focus on it. The 60 FPS cap is some kind of joke in a racing game there. The future Motorfest also promises to be from advertising announcements, for a copy of The Crew 2 only in a different scenery on the same outdated engine. That’s why I cover hope in FH5 and adding at least a few of the most popular motorcycles to the game . This could be done in a separate final third expansion for FH5 or this upcoming one which would be awesome .

The CCP pushing Chinese brands in video games used by young people in the West to slowly acclimate them to the thought of buying a Chinese car in the future is completely decoupled from whatever the CCP likes to enforce on their own population in regards to video games.

Surely you can put forth better arguments than that.

He can’t. He literally tried pulling the “well, what about the nobody manufacturers from western countries that are in the games” card on me, and it backfired colossally. He mostly mentioned nobody manufactuers who haven’t been in Forza games since the Xbox 360 era, and on top of that, they were also mostly cars that I personally don’t miss or want back either because nothing ever came of most them (and in the cases of the more current ones, nothing likely will).

It’s quite simple: donut media is half the age of the top gear guys. Having some 50 and 60-year-old gray hairs talk about cars was not as cool as some t-shirt wearing scrubs.

The Top Gear story in fh4 wasn’t great either. Race to the checkpoint in the allocated time x10. Couldn’t care less who is doing a voiceover while im crashing in a tree. They added a tractor to a racing game… + the merc wagon was cool but i remember it having a cheap widebody and some horrible orange accents that you couldn’t remove which ruined the whole car for me.

Because the Top Gear Story wasn’t Top Gear Guy’s. The old Top Gear Guys grew up with cars, new cars, lived cars, and loved cars. That’s what made the big difference between t the old Top Gear and things like donut media. They grew ip in a different era of cars, and video games and social media. They are more about the media and gaming than about the cars. Same with the younger “car enthusiasts” of today.

Car culture of today has evolved today into social media first, video games second, car culture third. At least that is my observation and opinion.

If the story had Clarkson ranting about a tractor it wouldn’t make it better. Old top gear shined with their specials, weird custom challenges and their antics. You cant capture that in a horizon story where you drive from point A to point B.

Nolan and James are both car nerds. Nolan used to build drag cars and race them with his dad when he was 14. He dalies an 05 mustang and has a 1954 Imperial hemi, which isn’t a casual boy racer tiktok star type of car.
James used to be a teenage dirtbag with an s14. Even now his favorite car is his I5 swapped golf 3.
Id get your criticism if they would soy over skylines and supras all the time while driving hurracans and 911s and flexing them all the time.
If anyone would like to learn more about them id recommend skipping the main channel and go watch their podcast - past gas.
Blindly hating someone because they’re young and on the internet isn’t a good look

@Skilluminati420 , I guarantee you that if the old Top Gear Crew did the FH4 story, we would not have had the stupid Tractor in the game. I hated having that stupid thing in the game. And there were so many races where it just should have been banned from competition.

I’ve done more than enough “research” to know they were better a few years back. Nolan is the better of the 2, but considering that, I don’t ever see a world where that '54 Imperial ever sees the road again if he doesn’t sell it to someone. James is the actor of the bunch, handful of bit parts in TV. He’s less of a car guy and more the “paid talent”. Some of the stuff he says is nonsensical.

Side note, proof of their lack of automotive knowledge is their latest High vs Low builds. They chose the 2nd gen Subaru WRX as the platform. After 8 engine replacements and more than 60k spent, they still have 2 broken Subaru’s and have been dragged by 90% of the internet for it. For anyone who has dealt with WRXs in the past, the boxer 4’s are known to have issues that need to be dealt with if you’re going to track them. They did zero research.

When we say old Top Gear, are we meaning the Old ones from the '70s or the reboot from the early 2000s ? Althogh in the 90’s they did have more car people, Clarkson included, it was still more of a car magazine type of broadcast.
The original was more of a pure review of different cars that you might think about buying presented by people who knew nothing about cars. It was only on the 2000s reboot that Clarkson & Co came and made it fun to watch rather than a stuffy old magazine type of program.

Ill agree with you that the current heading for the man channel is bad. Like car buzzfeed. Old stuff was way better
Nolans imperial is on the road again, but its real rough.

As for the subarus i blame the platform. Its meant to be a rally car for the street and has a glass engine…
Not everybody is a subaru tech and i think they perfectly captured the average ownership of an old subaru wrx on camera - buy it > rice it out > blow up the engine > give up

Late reply but I’d take the Western Star 5700 XE that was recently added to American Truck Simulator.

I’d vouch for a trucking expansion, just how those Czech devs work their magic with the expansions of the American and Euro Truck Simulator games. Just think of the licensed you’d have to pay for: Kenworth, Navistar, Daimler Trucks NA, etc.

Forza’s about variety.

Y’all are starting to get me round to wanting a big rig expansion  We do already have a few big trucks so why not more ! And I’d love to see some trailers added to make things “interesting”… lol.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the remaining expansion takes place in either the lost city of Atlantis or on the moon.
Those are just as logical at this point as anything else.

Unfortunately Lego is more probable since the developers are way too into recycling. Sure, I’m all for saving the planet, but reusing ideas won’t keep the temperature down - especially in the Forza community!!!
