Hi everyone. So today I’ve bought an elite controller series 2; straight away I’ve discovered a problem. So with the elite controller series 1 when using trigger lock on the left trigger (braking trigger), let’s say if it stops left trigger travel at 50%, the game would register only 50% of braking trigger travel. You can use this to work wonders with braking, setting your deadzones to get strong braking without being able to lock up. Yes it’s noobish but it’s very effective. With the elite controller series 2, let’s say your trigger lock stops left trigger travel at 50%, the game adjusts and registers this as 100% brake trigger travel, meaning I can’t do what I did with the elite series 1. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way around it so I can use it as I did the elite series 1? I wouldn’t have bought it had I know
Just try it without the lock. You already have the muscle memory, just like a real car you would not just hit the brake pedal all the way down. Same thing and you can feel it in the trigger vibration. I learned with the lock as well but it isn’t perfect and does not brake enough a lot of the time. Time to at least try and take it off. You will see time improvement too. I did not have too much trouble with locking up the wheels when I took the lock off. Day or two to adjust, maybe less.
As far as I can tell, there is no work around for this. I too used the same trick with the original elite Controller. When I got my elite 2, I tried everything I could think of to replicate the old setting, but couldn’t figure it out. I’m a working dad, so it’s not like I have much time to play Forza. I get maybe an hour a week to play. But after about 5 weeks or so, now I’m getting used to gently working the brake trigger. Good luck. Let us know if you figure anything out.
