Hi guys
I’ve had the elite controller for some time and i am happy with it, but not blown away. During a short period where i had to use my standard controller while my Elite was being replaced (fall apart), i did not really miss it all that much. But one thing i never figured out how to do, or if i could do, is assign X and B buttons to the left and right paddles.
I want to have gear changes assigned to the paddles, but to have one in each side. The only way i could set this up was having the gear changes at the right two paddles, but i want them on each side.
Has anybody managed to get this working? I’m using the controller app to configure mapping and settings
Did you try to use the Xbox Controller App or did you change it within the Forza settings? As far as I know you can just swap functions of some Buttons in Forza directly. With the Controller App you can re-arrange everything and save it to one of the to slots of the controller. I tried using left and right paddles for shifting but figured out it doesnt work because the left hand already has too much work to do (steering and braking). Instead I have the clutch on one of the right paddles and use Y and B for down and upshift. This works quite well and feels right to my brain.

There is a drop down for buttons + paddles and a drop down for buttons
But i found a work around, to test it and you are right… didn’t feel too good, so i’m back to using the buttons
Try changing your controller settings to Layout 6. That puts shift down/up at LB and RB respectively. I’m sure from there it wouldn’t be hard to swap them to the paddles.
