E3 2014 Forza Horizon 2 Interview Question Thread

Will we have the same ability to paint rims as we do in FM5, with the same special paints, pure white, ect, and will all the other special paints, matte, wood, chrome, ect also carry over?

No news on that yet.

Can we customize the drivers, hair color, race, gender as well?

If the 360 version is being created with the FH1 engine will we be able to import designs from FH1 & FM4 ?

With the addition of weather effects, and the assumption that open top cars will return for Horizon 2, will we have the option to put the top up on the car?

The question I would like to see asked which never gets asked by journos is this.

" okay so FH1 was an incredible achievement technically and in terms of raw gameplay.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much more awesome is the sequel ? Does it make your face ache from grinning when playing it ? "

Thank you for this potential opportunity!

FM5 Question - Are there any more significant updates coming for FM5 or will the focus now shift to FM6.

FM6 Questions - Will there be an FM6? And if yes, what will be the key differences from FM5? Release date for FM6?

H2 Question - the Playground game King was mentioned in one of the interviews, so is there any chance we will see Soccer and/or Cat and Mouse make a return to the series? These type of extras bring so much fun, especially for car clubs, and keep people coming back to the game.

Thanks very much,

aWill we be able to carry over any liveries from FM5. And from FH1\FM4 to FH2 on 360?

How many Tire compounds? and how does weather affect them?

Is the tuning identical to FM5?

Will we get functional turn signals (indicators)?

I really wished it was in FH, but at the same time I’d prefer it to be omitted than be implemented in an awful way such as it was done in TDU2. Left/right on the D-Pad would be ideal, I think.

TDU2 had everything. Just a shame they couldn’t execute the game like Forza or need for speed etc… But TDU/TDU2 were both great,

One of the articles on IGN mentioned Car meets. My questions is that it says you can look at the different liveries and tunes and share them, so does this mean you’ll have an actual in-game Avatar you can control to walk around at these car meets and interact with one another?

Something like TDU 2, which would be cool.

I have a couple of questions:

  1. The new points system has been compared to the “Kudos” system in the PGR franchise and claims to be more substantial and meaningful than in Horizon 1. Can we have any information on how they’ve changed it since the first Horizon, some example actions that will earn points (e.g. drifts, air time etc) or a hint on what they will be used for?

  2. Horizon 1 was a great game but one of the most common complaints was the lack of things to do once the story had been completed. This was acknowledged with the release of the 1000 Club DLC which helped add to the games replay value. What features have been implemented into Horizon 2 to improve the games longevity and keep players coming back even after they have finished the main story?

Will there be any cars exclusive to one platform but not the other? Will DLC match on both platforms?

  1. Will there be a Beta for Horizon 2 like there was for Horizon 1?

  2. How large is the map?

  3. Will the physics be the same as Forza Motorsport 5 or are they the physics taken and turned into arcade physics like we saw with Horizon 1?

  4. Assuming Question 3 is the second part: How effective will tuning be if the physics are arcade-like?

  5. Will there be a lot more to do in Multiplayer than the original Horizon? If so, what will there be?

Will there be a demo for FH2,if so any idea when?

Since Music plays such a big part in Forza Horizon, and since Forza’s latest strive towards cloud integration has had great success, will players ever be able to play their own music (custom soundtrack) using cloud services delivered by XBox Music and alike?

Something that I think was missing in an open world racer such as this was cops, it is illegal street racing after all. It doesn’t have to be as prominent a feature as it was in need for speed but simple like test drive unlimited where they would chase you for a little bit. So that would be my question
Will there be cops?

will FH2 have open wheel cars and will they be available in both versions of the game
will there be snow and ice
will be able to open and close convertible roofs now we have weather
will there be Porsche’s
will there be split screen
how many months of DLC packs can we expect
will we be able to paint wheels like in FM5 and will special paints carry over i.e. carbon and matte
will there differences in the car list and DLC cars between the 360 version and the Xbox One version
is tuning as in depth as FM5
will we see the return of 1000 club style challenges and will they be available offline
will there be a FH2 demo
will there be any Top Gear related events/challenges in FH2
