They do it on unbeatable too
I admit unless you have a TERRIBLE car it is difficult to lose but still…
what I would really appreciate is a difficulty where Drivatars actually drive decently, if they are based on how you drive can’t they at least take your times?
I believe to some extent they do take our times - just not be the times of the name shown. I would also like a difficulty where the drivatar has to actually follow the rules.
I’ve seen it MANY times. I uploaded a video of it happening recently. I rewound a couple of times to show clearly that not only do the drivatars skip this checkpoint every time, but I definitely get punished for doing the same, and they definitely don’t. FYI I only narrowly won this race after catching up with the leaders right near the end.

They do it constantly, and by a huge margin, as if they don’t even bother to try for the checkpoint, but if YOU miss the checkpoint by a few inches, NOPE, you gotta rewind or be forced to respawn further back
I have also found they do it much more on the off road sprints, where they already seem to be 10x more difficult to actually compete with already, compared to regular circuits, so it seems to give them yet another boost that at times makes it even harder to get into the top 3, to the point sometimes ive had to water down the difficulty to minimum just to scrape by with a third placing
Meh, the drivatars missing checkpoints is nothing compared to the times where I drag only the rear end or just a tire through the checkpoint to save time and the game doesn’t count it. I record the replay and run it at half speed to see that I had made it into the visible part of the checkpoint with the visible part of my car. I know that the invisible points of a car (“real” car) need to make it through the invisible part of the checkpoint (“real” checkpoint), but I just wish the visible portions of both the car and the checkpoint were also the “real” ones to make the game behave with better consistency. It also seems to be affected by the angle at which you pass through the point, as if the checkpoint is a line (must break the area between two points) and not a box or zone like it should be.
here is the other example of a checkpoint the AI miss all the time. I’m actually surprised that the two cars I labeled are going through the checkpoint.
This was only C-Class but that doesn’t make it excusable. Turn10, this has got to stop. I know you won’t do anything in this game, but don’t release another game where you so obviously allow the AI to cheat because there is no reason this couldn’t have been caught and fixed before launch.
Damn that’s just awful. I was wondering if they could bring AI into the multiplayer to fill gaps as on unbeatable they can drive better than a lot of people in multi but if they would take gaps like this its a straight no -__-
It’s not like the AI attempted the checkpoint and missed it and did not get sent back.You know when you’re going really fast (so not C Class) and you slide through the smoke or barely miss it and sometimes the game does not reset you? No, this isn’t one of those situations, here, clearly, the AI went “Well, see this checkpoint here. NOPE!” and didn’t even try to make it remotely close and they all followed. The red Cobra actually passed me for a bit because of it.
I confirm that too. I’ve seen drivatars skipping checkpoints.
First time I thought I was wrong and was a visual effect, that my mind was fooling me… but after that it happened again many times.

Forza should give us some car packs for free, because of this bug.
I would’ve won the race in first place, instead of 2nd place, if I had the Camaro(which costs real money), instead of the viper or the corvette, which I used the game credits
It’s a shame that the developers seem to be sitting with their dicks in their hands as I too have experienced this on FH2 BUT NOW IM SEEING IT IN FH3 AS WELL! it’s not so much that it makes it difficult to win, but rather super annoying, and if the driavtars had to keep with the checkpoints then I could up the difficulty and earn more $$. Also definitely have had drivatars push me and them to the outside of a check point and I have to reset and they just keep going. Like at least half a dozen times… I’ll tell ya, between this and achievements not actually registering I’m starting to lose faith in this series… Each new game has more and more wrong with it. And it get more obvious each time…
