Drivatar-clones and winning through combining points

Today when participating in the seasonal championship where you have to use the Datsun 510, I’ve noticed two bugs:

  1. There are clones of a specific drivatar racing together. See here:

  2. Apparently, these clones can “combine” their points, resulting in a score which is impossible to achieve:

This championship consists of 4 races, each giving 20 points, so I’ve won every single one. Yet one of the clones has somehow 84, which can be only due to those two adding their points.

Is the dev-team aware of it? It’s seriously frustrating to lose a championship despite winning every race just because the drivatars cheat literally with the help of bugs.

It was a bug that existed in FH3 and never got fixed, either. Perhaps previous games, too?

The best way to avoid this is to never change the difficulty mid-championship. Something about altering the difficulty after starting one updates the drivatars and can double them up like this, and this goes for changing the AI difficulty on the first pre-race screen of the championship.

I have not seen this happen after forcing myself into my preferred difficulty before starting a championship after learning about this glitch elsewhere. Prior to that it happened all the time since I was still learning the ropes and futzing with the difficulties more. Your results may vary but give it a try next time.
