Won every race but still lost the championship. Why?

So i played one of the seasonal championships on solo and in every race I won the race but got less points than a drivatar (not always the sameone) and by the end I lost the championship by 8 points. How is this possible? Happened in 2 different championships.
I used “inexpierenced” for ai and a maxed car for the class of the championship.

I was playing FH3 the other day and doing a championship for a Forzathon car and experienced something similar.

I won all three races for 60 championship points in the end (3x20), but another driver magically had 62 points on the final championship leaderboard denying me the prize, when the best second place could actually do was 48 points (3x16). I did another championship right after and it won all the races again and it was normal and I unlocked the car. This has happened to me before at random and seems like that glitch is still alive in FH4!

I don’t know if there’s any specific set of circumstances which causes this bug, and the only thing I did differently between the two championships was upgrade the car I was in to the next class tier.

That’s odd, never happened to me in FH3 in over 240 hours of play time.

Well, it’s a new game. I think the stats in coop races are messed up as well. My team lost race 1 of the trial, won race two, but then stats changed to our team losing. Might be a lag issue, though.

If you would look at the Drivatar listing in the championship I would bet you that one of them was listed twice. It happened at times in H3 also. Happened to me in 4 today. I have been told that changing the Drivatar difficulty while in the championship, where you see the “loading new drivatars” is what causes it. Sucks but if it hasn’t been fixed in 2 years, it is what it is.

I got the issue once as well in FH3 and I never change the drivatar difficulty so that wasn’t the cause of the problem for me… Anyway it only happened once so not a big deal I guess

I did change the drivatar’s difficulty while in the championship menu. So this is what caused. What a weird bug. Thanks for the answer.
