Anyone else having problems drifting with a G920 no matter how i set the wheel up it just seems near impossible to hold a decent drift, and there seems to be loads of understeer with the wheel aswel … i have been drifting with a controller since forza 2 so im pretty sure its not me??? anyone got any suggestions
I use the G920 wheel, and the thread I just linked too has some useful information in it.
Also, is this your first ever wheel?
If it is, then you just need time to practice with it. It takes time to learn how to drive with a wheel in racing games, but it all boils down to practice. And it takes just as much time to learn how to drift with one, especially if you are using more than 360° steering rotation.
Thanks i can drift with it at 270 Degrees no problem but racing with anymore degrees is just a task on its own you will be gunning it and the car just wants to do its own thing

I’m also having problems here. I had a fanetec gt3 wheel I used for forza 4 and it was great. It seems to me that it’s a problem with the force feedback. When I initiate a drift and let go of the wheel, it doesn’t pull back to the other side like it should. Let me know if you found a solution bro.
It may have to do with your tune. I had a heck of a time to get good control over the car with the g920. But I found that with certain cars, tuned just right, I could get some pretty reliable response. My best setup is a 240sx running 420hp sport tires, ultra wide on the back, one wider than stock on the front. From there I increase the tire pressure in the front a bit and stance it out and you get a pretty good baseline. The most important part is the suspension though. You want it a little looser in the back than the front so that when you transition the weight lifts off the back tires allowing them to swing across. Also I’ve found it’s helpful to use the Forza spoiler and set it to speed instead of cornering. This gives the car a little more lift in the back and helps keep those tires spinning under lower hp conditions.
