Logitech G920 - Wheel not turning fast enough for drifting

Hey everyone. Unfortunately, it’s impossible for me to drift in Forza 7 Motorsport using my G920. The wheel doesn’t rotate on it’s own and it feels all stuttering. I got the Logitech Driver installed on my PC:

I’m german, so I’m trying my best to translate settings:

  • Sensivity 50%
  • Wheel Rotation Angle 900°
  • Activate Force-Feedback Center-Spring in games (unchecked)
  • Power of the Center-Spring 10%

When I go ingame, I go on Settings > Controller > Input > I choose the Logitech G920 default. Now I press advanced:

I tried like 20 different Settings I found online, none of them felt like it would be possible to drift. So my wheel doesn’t turn back on it’s own and it feels like the turning speed of my wheel is way to slow for drifting. I really hope some of you can help me to find out what’s wrong. I bought Forza some time ago, but I never could really enjoy playing it.

Its all about practise, drifiting is hard to do until you get the hang of it.
Try turning down your rotation angle to 720 or even 540 until you get the hang of drifting, then gradually go back up to full 900 rotation.
You could also try using the center spring through the logitech app, i dont really like it because its a bit strong for my preferences but it may help you with returning to center.
Aside from that try watching a few youtube tutorials on how to drift on a sim wheel as its all about steering and acceleration balance (cant just give it 100 throttle all the time)

Always had to drop wheel rotation to about 270 degree for any drift events.
In racing usually used 450 degree.

the problem is the wheel itself. the g25/27/29 have simply not enought strenght to rotate fast enought.
this outdated gears mechanic inside the wheel is powered by 2 tiny motors that produce a maximum torgue of only 2,4nm.
