Drift Tuner's Advice Wanted

Long time Forza player and I always like to make my own tunes. I believe I am pretty good, at least good enough to avoid downloading tunes. So I am stuck on this drift tune for the new Mustang GT and I’d like to not download any tunes. I tried to base it off my previous drift tunes, which I quickly realized was a big mistake since FM7’s driving mechanics are very different. So my mistake.

The problem I am having is drift initiation and counter-steering snap. I cannot get the car to enter in the corner (it is basically super unstable) and if I get the drift initiated, when I counter-steer it is almost guaranteed to snap around. But it does a mean power slide, which is pretty pointless.

I don’t have my build in front of me, but I know I am running a bit over 700hp, no engine swap. If you all need more build info, just ask and you shall receive.

what driving assists are you using , what tire compound how wide are your tires , and the funny thing is that forza has not really changed , because if it did you would not have the ability to import tunes into the game

I don’t mean the game changed I mean it feels different the way the cars react and handle. Either that or I’m going crazy. But either way, this tune is not working like I hoped. I’m not using any assists. No ABS, no braking, no TC, no SC. Sim steering. As far as tire width, I think I went pretty wide front and rear. Not sure which exactly though. I’ll post when I find out for sure. And I think I went street compound.

you could try turning off sim steering that can cause controller users cars to go out of control , but its ok to have on if you are on a wheel.

Or maybe I need to invest in a wheel haha. I’ll try turning that off first and see how it reacts.

Turn down your caster , should stop tbe snappy transitutions

+1 on turning off the sim steering.

I felt dirty and ashamed to use normal steering so i tried turning it off, not a good idea while trying to circuit race 900HP+ RWD cars with TCS off lol

Trying to use opposite lock to control a slide ended up with the car fishtailing all over the place and eventually spinning, Normal steering is much better.
