First, I love the new Forza, and have generally liked the cars I have driven for races. However, it seems , the higher I go in the races for the Forza Cup, the more the cars seem to want to not steer when I am using the controller thumbstick and they dont brake as easy. IS this me just wanting to have it easy, or is there a setting I should tweak? What I mean by the steering is, I can have the thumbstick all the way to one side for steering, and the car doesnt seem to respond as I would assume it would. The car will just almost respond late and then I have to rewind, slow down sooner, and lose position. Is this the physics of the game, or what? I try to find cars that wil be good in the handling and braking area, but that doesnt see to help and it gets frustrating.
I am a heavy driver always trying to work my way up to the lead area fast, but with a car that doesnt respond, it can be difficult. I have the drivatar level one about the lowest.
IS there a certain tune I should work towards for steering, or braking? Any ideas as far as a good tuner I used to follow one in 5 , but havent seen his tunes here,
Any tips or even suggestions would be helpful. If you need more info, like how my assists are setup, let me know , and I can get those here
Thanks again
Have you tried to download others tunes? On this area there are plenty options available. Sounds that car is understeering quite much. What class/division you mostly drive? Eg. from Exotic GT I’ve been working on Porsche 911 GT2RS '18. Maybe you want to try that out, how it works for you.
KKP, its funny, that was the exact car I was trying and it seemed to just move all over the place on corners and even braking. I am not a technical guy when it comes to the terms but will assume thats what it is doing. I will try it out and let you know how it works out. I try to find tunes but right now it seems most are above the class restrictions or dont seem to do much. Thanks for the input
^Thanks! Interesting to hear what you think. Feedback from others is always valuable!
Worked out well, and once I learned the intricacies of the Porsche, helped alot also

Are you driving the default homologation builds with stock tune?
Those really do not work well.
Have a look in some of the tuner threads in this section and give those tunes a try. As each has their own style, find a tuner that suits your preference.
It will vastly improve the fun you have as the cars wil start to follow your input and you take seconds out of your laptimes.
might be as simple as going into controller options and removing the steering deadzones, turn-in will feel quicker.
Have been having the same problem with some cars… It’s like their lock-to-lock steering ratio is limited to almost nothing. Nissan GTR FE is one of the cars I’m having this trouble with. Literally having to do 3-point turns or use the handbrake around some hairpins, when the computer cruises right through…
I think I got tune shared for the Nissan GTR FE, you might check it out if it has the same issues. Can’t remember that I had those issues myself with the car.
I also have a tune for that car that works quite well.
In assist change steering from normal to simulation for the controller. Takes some getting used too, but removes filters and limitations in the steering input.
