In many interviews i watched on youtube Ralph Fulton repeatedly said that the two versions of Horizon 2, would be different. He said they both followed the same spirit, but that they were two different games. He said no weather, not tuning, no drivatars, no instant online, different car list. It was made clear that the Xbox One version was the superior (obviously), and that the 360 version would be missing features. With their track record for being economical with the truth, you guys should have rented or waited before rushing out to buy the game and then complain. As paying customers you have the right to complain if you’re unhappy with your purchase, but in future some of you might read up before buying something, Instead of coming on here with your posts about how you were promised certain features, when you were CLEARLY told they would NOT be in your version of the game.
Does it suck? YES! Are you entirely blameless? NO!
They were always going to push the Xbox One version, and that should have given you all you needed to know…
“While the exact car lineups won’t be the same, both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One versions of Forza Horizon 2 will feature more than 200 cars available at launch.”
I’m confused at the quote, I didn’t realize the xbox360 version doesn’t have DLC and VIP pack yet until I checked yesterday which is a disappointment because I don’t have Xbox One (can’t afford $460 including the game just so I can play it) and the 360 version should be able to handle the extra features while keeping the graphics the same on FH1
If you are dumb enough to still be buying new games for the older platforms you are truly in need of some education on how game and software developement work. You can’t simply lower graphics and expect all the other functions and features to work at 30fps without a hiccup. Also the system’s hardware is dated, even more so then they are at their launch. Read some specs on these consoles and with a little research into computers and hardware specifically designed for gaming, you just might find it amazing that these little dated machines perform as well as they do. The solution is simple, stop being a cheap butt and get a Xbox one so that your game purchases aren’t going to waste,
First of all, you should not label people who are not willing to spend their money on an expensive product that they are unsure about, i.e., a next-gen console, “dumb”. It’s a fiscal choice of theirs and has nothing to do with their intelligence.
I don’t think most reasonable people expected the two games to be the same. They were made by different developers for different consoles with different abilities.
However, it’s easy to understand people expecting FH2360 to be at least on par with the first Horizon in terms of finish, content, and features… which FH2360 is most certainly not.
I agree with benji, I don’t make enough money to get me a Xbox One but I would get it in a heart beat if I was rich
Yeah no rewards or dlc information would’ve changed my mind on purchasing the 360 version I would’ve bought the X1 ultimate version and let it collect dust sitting next to my L.C.E. F5 on the shelf till I can afford the X1.
Some of us are not being nice to one another.
Benji while my labeling may be a little harsh it is perfectly justified. I do not mean for everyone to run and grab and xbox one, however, why on earth would you pay for a game that is the same price as a much better version and for an outdated system? By now most people could have saved enough to buy a new console if they want to continue playing newer game releases. Personally I think that there should have never been a 360 version, just a waste of funding that could be used for something more productive.
Can some these people at Turn 10, PG, or Sumo please fix the photos not loading into the gallery bug?!? I have a page on Instagram that I’m trying to run, and I can’t get any of my photos from Horizon 2 (on Xbox 360) to load on the gallery on this website! Like, come on people!!!
Here’s what you do:
- Make online freeroam public like in Horizon 1.
- Reinstitute Forza rewards like in Horizon 1.
- Bring back the reward wheel or something along those lines like in Horizon 1.
- Enable more custom control over lobbies like in Horizon 1.
- Enable DLC like in Horizon 1.
- Enable reward cars for tier level or Forza loyalty like in Horizon 1.
Then all will be well with us 360 owners. See a pattern here ^
@macace21: I’m not someone who has a ton of time or money in my gaming budget. Just this year I bought a house and a car and now have dental work ahead later this month. For one, there aren’t many titles on 360 that I want, nor do I want to float $60 each for them when my time in game is very limited due to having two jobs. Also, it is not backwards compatible with the 360 of which mine is not that old. I bought it in the Spring as a cheap supplemental pick up and play gaming system to a custom MSI gaming laptop which I picked up from a company called XoticPC. The Xbox One is not in my purchasing plans right now; in fact we will be buying a GoPro before a new gaming console. So the choice to buy the new console is that of the buyer.

Macace21 I don’t know you or what your personal life is like but keep in mind that other people have things or situations going on in their own lives that could prevent them from purchasing frivolous items like the latest gaming consoles. So it’s not wise to make remarks about people continuing to buy games for older consoles as being dumb since all the manufacturers making these consoles are not killing off the older systems because they know not everyone will be able to get the newest versions for a good while. Not to mention the game developers can still make money selling games on the older systems which is a win win for all parties.
If the thread cannot stay on topic, it will be moved to Off-Topic where it will quickly wither on the vine and none of us will be happy to see that happen.
Enough beating each other up over personal choices and finances.
And wishlists belong in the threads dedicated to them.
Be nice.
Isn’t the OP fundamentally a wishlist anyway?
Then again, 95% of the forum could be boiled down to a wishlist if you really wanted…

It is but I’m trying to leave it open as much as possible as there are quite a few upset about their purchase.
I can already imagine the ranting and raving had they not made a 360 version at all …

Yes, they’d say “Why isn’t there a 360 version?”
Instead of “Why doesn’t the 360 version have this?”, “Why does the 360 version suck?”, “X doesn’t work on 360”, so on and so forth.
I’m tired of seeing people defend stupid decisions at every turn.
I’m going to say this as nicely as I can.
People that refuse to, or cannot “AFFORD”, to buy an Xbox One to play the game that they want to play, are stubborn or bad with money.
The complaints rolling in, are from DAY ONE. Are you even serious? You have enough money to buy Forza Horizon on Day One for the 360, but never once thought about saving up for an Xbox One? Did you also Buy Destiny on the 360?
I can understand refusing to give up on a 10 year old console, that has been you go to on a daily basis. The simple fact is, you could have put that $50 towards and Xbox One, same as the $60 you put on Destiny. Nobody forces you to buy video games.
I put $60-100 a month away to buy my Xbox One, and once I had reached the price of entry, I put my money into the games. Release day, showed up, and I had everything that I wanted.
If $50 means so much to you, research what you are putting your money into. If $50 = 30 minutes of research, then I am afraid that you will be surprised if you get exactly what you want… because chances are, you will not.
I put about an hour into researching Destiny… and about 20 minutes into deciding to use it for fodder to reduce the price of Horizon 2. I knew that if I did not like Destiny, that Forza was only a few weeks away, and I would probably still get $40 for it, and I did.
Do yourself a favor, look around your room, and find $500 worth of stuff you don’t use, and sell it. Go buy an Xbox One, and Horizon 2, and be happy.

Maybe you don’t feel that the current selection of games for the Xbox One doesn’t justify a purchase?
It’s really sad to read how people are disappointed with X360 version of the game. I don’t want to be rude, but come on, the console is 9 years old without a month!
Horizon 1 was really pushing the limits of 512 SHARED WITH GPU RAM and you’re asking for impossible: something should be sacrificed to provide bigger map or at least not added from the start.
Just read X360 tech specs to feel how outdated hardware is and then ask yourself, can you demand new bigger map and more features simultaneously? For example, Samsung galaxy S III that was released in 2012 is packed with 1,5 GB RAM vs XBOX 360’s 512MB. It’s a phone with 3x RAM size of gaming console.

Well said!!! $25/$50 here & there add up. I reserved my Xbox One the moment I could reserve it. Did I pay full price right then? No, I had from May to November to set aside the money to buy my Xbox One, Thrustmaster TX, FM5 LCE & play n’ charge. That’s 6 months of setting aside $25/$50. I got a mortgage & responsibilities like any other adult. I just choose to cut back on junk I didn’t need to waste my money on. By Nov, I was ready for the next generation. Even though I hadn’t planned on buying FH2, I’m definitely enjoying the Xbox One version for sure!
Also, stoked for Project Cars in November!! Only on Xbox One/PS4/PC. So 360 & PS3 people will miss out on this EPIC RACING SIM!
