I have this car upgraded to a s 799 with mostly handling upgrades but when ever I use it for GT specific races it always get out accelerated but all The others it always seems that the corvette z06 is a constant winner. is my car not upgraded correctly or are there just better cars?
Viper ACR is one of the best, if not the best, 800PPI cars in the game.
If you build your cars primarily for handling, you will be out-accelerated in the straights. Fact of life. The tradeoff is obviously the fact that you’ll corner better than most others. Most of my cars are built more for handling but I still do pretty well in my races. Build some for handling, some for speed, and some that are good at both but stellar at neither. Some tracks are speed tracks, others are more for handling, and still others are more balanced; have at least one built for each environment so that you’ll always be competitive.
I don’t own 800 cars yet - can I get that many or will I hit a garage limit?
I should also point out I don’t own this car in the game or real life either…

Agreed. I don’t own a viper and dont plan to as i like a challenge, it’s a very fast car. My personal reccomendation is to contiue with handling focused builds and if you find you don’t struggle through the corners but do on the straights maybe then back off a little tyre width or drop to sport compound then add power til you have a nice balance, alternatively go for one handling build and one power build

I would definitely recommend having a grip tune and a speed tune for each car. So easy to load up a new one in a lobby. Have to say that I have never noticed my viper struggle for accel even in the grip build. Maybe you need to look at your gear ratios?

You should get some transmission upgrades and adjust the gear ratios, and you should be set.
…or it might be you’re racing at Daytona or Indy a lot.
i think i have some transmission upgrades. I’m not good at gearing or tuning so i just use forza tune but I’ve realized that it actually increase accel times sometimes
