Whats the best tune for speed in the Viper ACR-X '10 for R2 class? ive tried a few but when it gets to 6th gear at around 195mph it stays around that speed and struggles to go faster, and i remember that i was in a Hennessey Venom in the race Valley Sprint and the viper was quite fast, coupled with its handling it makes a nice R2 street racer, im sure it can top 240mph somehow
And for S class are there any fast accelerating cars? At the moment i have a Nissan 240SX which accelerates quite good, and a silvia which isnt bad, but since the figure when tuning isnt always right ive had to test it out manually which takes long due to the loading screens of exiting/entering garages. So i’d like a few fast accelerating tunes for street S class cars which also handle well :), figures would help my tuning, e.g. handling 9.4 acc 9.0.
Thanks for your time ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/slight_smile.png?v=12)
I think the ACR is a great car in R2 but I don’t think it will reach 240mph in R2. It reaches 243mph in R1 but it would need handling upgrades as well as power in R2 to make it driveable ^^
I tuned mine based on a discussion thread on the old forums regarding a monthly event which people used the ACR, but it still does at least 205mph, I will double check later. The race you were in, was it online or was it an actual street race in game? If it was a street race, the Hennessey is the fastest for R2 but the speed of your rivals are definitely faked because some cars are much faster than they should be!
With your questions on S class cars, it has been known that stats can lie, a couple of my cars such as the Ferrari 360 CS and the Viper GTS have the lowest acceleration stats in S class but they can keep up with other cars with higher acceleration stats. That said there are a couple of good cars such as the Mclaren F1 and the Ferrari 458 Italia if you have DLC, I will be able to give more recommendations when I will double check ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/slight_smile.png?v=12)
Okay had a look at the Viper ACR, it seems the viper is one of those cars with a dead 6th gear which slows the car down instead of speeding up, the same happens with the Shelby 1000, it looks like you have to use 5th gear in R2 to get the most out of it, I’ve reached 205 mph in 5th
For S class, cars with great acceleration include the Toyota Celica, (9.4 acceleration, 8.7 handling), Muira 06 (9.0 acc 9.0 hand) are for track with long straights. tracks that require more handling than speed I use Honda NSX-r (8.9 acc 10 handling) and Ferrari F50 (9 acc 9.9 handling) also 458 Italia ( 8.8 acc 9.6 handling) aaaaaand the F40 (8.9 acc and 10 handling)
The two cars I mentioned in previous post: Ferrari 360 CS (8.7 acc, 9.7 handling) and McLaren F1 (8.9 acc and 9.5 handling). Think I sold the viper gts, it never got used
Ferrari 360 can keep up with the others despite low acc stat and Mclaren has no power upgrades for this class but it still flies ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/slight_smile.png?v=12)
Sorry for the long post ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/smiley.png?v=12)
It should definitely go above 200 and mine struggles to do that, i put in super charger conversion and tried a twin turbo one, and even stock but still 6th gear does slows it down, and it was multiplayer, i was surprised the person could keep up with my venom cos i was probably going about 230 ish, i could hear his supercharger so i knew he added that in but thats all i know xD, im pretty sure it wasnt an R1 race because most people used the CCX-R or bugatti SS, it has over 1300 lateral G’s stock so i figured he probably didn’t need handling as anything over 1200 is pretty good ![:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/stuck_out_tongue.png?v=12)
And i mentioned acceleration cos most street races in S class dont require top end speed, unless its route 20 run, mountain run or tunnel charge id use the mclaren but for the other races i need something else lol, i had a mclaren f1 for desert drag and the end straight i just about hit 200 and all the other cars got to 200 quicker and beat me lol, but true the stats lie my 240SX is 8.8 acceleration but accelerates faster than my 9.1 stat car -__-, i have a 458 spider which i bought for fun i might try tuning that and see how that races, viper i haven’t tried but ive seen people win in it even with a wing attached so might give that a go, Ferrari F40 might be a choice too
I’m surprised the ACR kept up, maybe it was faster through the turns, the Hennessey is hard to control!
And sorry I don’t really have anything else to offer for fast acceleration except the lancers and skylines and lancia deltas but everyone uses those, I encourage people to use more interesting cars from time to time rather than to use the same 4wd car allll the time. But if people want to use them and they’re not wall riding all the time, thats absolutely fine ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/slight_smile.png?v=12)
Lol it was the first right on Valley Sprint race, where you get a long stretch; i like the Hennessey cos of its acceleration, with a wing on the rear it isnt too bad, and maintains a high speed throughout, and i have some muscle cars in S but they’re arent many that handle well with that much power, too much sliding -__-, i have evos and skylines but i never use them xD
Try the rally tyres and of course the racing transmission on your ACR-X builds in R2.
It should reach 250 without handling parts.
Yea that works so it must’ve been that, cheers. Didnt realise the tyres give that much PI when on rally lol, although needs more control
