Ignore that. Horizon 3 disappeared again from my Windows Store Library. The odd thing is Gears of War: Ultimate, which is installed on my PC, has also gone missing.

I just got mine back into my library. On my XB1 I went into the “Ready to Install” menu and noticed FH3 was absent from there as well. I then went into the store, searched for Forza Horizon 3 and selected the Ultimate Edition. I then selected Manage game and was able to add it to my install list. Once back on my PC, FH3 is now back in my Library.

I tried it with my Xbox but I didnt have any problems there. The only thing I was able to do is installing the DLCs.

Manage here doesn’t do anything but bring you back to Library (and the game is still missing)…the only way was to install from the “forza horizon 3” bundle link where you could see “install” but now (in my case atleast) there is Nothing but “part of a bundle” thing :frowning:
No Xbox one here BTW

Well someone dropped the ball. Either Dan tweeted it too early or the ID10TS at Microsoft didn’t show up to play. And it was still in my store even after I uninstalled the placeholder and cleaned my registry.

Same :confused: this is frustrating i hope someone finds a fix before friday or i will have to play on xbox without a wheel and at 30 fps at only 1080p :frowning:

WTF is this. I got some error, uninstalled it, and now I can’t even install the app. Why is it the everything on my Mac just works, and with Windows nothing but issues,

I found that even if I didn’t delete the 3.7MB FH3 placeholder, this game has already been disappeared in my library, that’s why error occurs when acquiring license. Therefore I think this error has nothing to do with our own computer, just about Microsoft server.

Hello thought I’d Chime in and help on the problem (Error Code 0x803F8001) I had the same code pop up everytime I tried to install The Forza Horizon 3 Pre - Download Update. I then search the error code from the Xbox support site —> Xbox Support I then contacted a Microsoft live help desk member she sent me these instructions via email —> Thanks for visiting Answer Desk for a complimentary consultation on Sep 21 2016 07:55 AM.
Here are the troubleshooting steps that you can do to fix the issue
Option 1

  1. Hit the X on both search in the app store and reinstalled the game
    Option 2
    If still the issue persist after trying the steps provided above then, we recommend running the following PowerShell script to re-register the new Store:
  2. In the Search box, type CMD
  3. Right click on Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator
  4. In the command prompt, enter the following command:
    PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command “& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + ‘\AppxManifest.xml’ ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}”
    Option 3
    I suggest you to try the steps mentioned below and check the issue.
    Method 1: Make sure that “Allow apps to use my location” option is enabled. Follow these steps to enable it.
    a. Press the “Windows + W” on the keyboard.
    b. Then type “Allow apps to use my location” without quotes in the search box and hit ENTER.
    c. Turn on “Allow apps to use my location”.
    d. Then turn on “Let apps use my location” option.

Method 2: If you are using proxy connection, please disable proxy. Refer to the steps mentioned below to check that.
a. Press Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl.
b. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
c. Uncheck the box next to “proxy server for your LAN”.
d. Click OK to save and close the window.

This did not help the situation unfortunately, I then decided to trouble shoot things myself and Now I’m able to download it :smiley: So here is what I did.
1.Make sure your Windows 10 is updated to version (Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3189866)
2.Update your Graphics card drivers to the latest version. AMD Or NVIDIA.
3.After the update is installed Restart your PC.
4.Once booted back into Windows log out of any Microsoft account in Windows store or web browser.
5.Log back in only in the windows store then search Forza Horizon 3.
6. It should say (You Already Own This)
7.Try to Update the game to your hard drive with at least 60 GB free space.
8.If you cannot find your game on the top right next to the search bar go into my Library and click on games.
9.Click show all then click unhide this show bring it up then proceed to download the update.

I really hoped this help some of you guys I understand how frustrating this can be. Anyways happy gamming to all (:

My game dissapeared from the store also after uninstalling the initial 3.7mb or whatever size it was and clearing the store cache. After hours of wasting my time on forums… i searched on the store for “Forza Horizon 3” not Forza Horizon 3 : Standard, nor Dexule, nor Ultimate (the one i bought) and there it was the “install” buttom. I didn’t realize you have to download the plain version, not the one with the version name added.

Cheesus Christ! While I have had very few issues on XBX 1, I truly feel for our PC brothers and sisters who just can’t get a decent gaming experience from T10/MCSFT…

So far, every time I’ve had this error with Forza or my other store games, I’ve fixed it by installing another app from the store. I’ve picked a random app and it’s as though it re-establishes my store purchases with my account.

Or something like that.

It has worked several times now when no other solution has.
