Do NOT reinstall if you have Error code 0x803F8001

This error code basically means you are signed out. I just replaced my motherboard of my PC and just plugged in my same SSD’s to the new motherboard. all programs think it is a new pc, but pretty much exactly the same files and everything. For some reason it gave me this error at first, but just RE-LOGIN to Microsoft store/ account and it should work! open Microsoft store > login > play Forza

I fixed my issue (updated to the latest FALL Creators update), by downloading a random app from the Store (RAR Opener is my case), the Forza 7 is working now.

You are awesome - I couldn’t figure out a way to fix this issue, and I really didn’t want to uninstall it. I tried downloading an app from the Microsoft Store and it fixed it.
This makes me think the issue is with the microsoft store itself and not with anything related to the game. There is some sort of verification issues it seems like. Anyways, for anyone else having this issue. Try doing this first, it’s by far the easiest method to fix the problem and the quickest.

I fixed my game by deleting the xbox box app and re-downloading it.

I have this problem constantly with F7 and FH3. The solution is to download a quick, free program like Netflix. You don’t have to have Netflix account, just start the free download and install it.

As soon as you download it, you can play your other Microsoft Store games. If you already have Netflix installed, just uninstall it and reinstall it.

Basically the MS Store is such garbage that it “forgets” that you’re logged in and that your account is tied into the games you own. Downloading a free app seems to restore this connection, allowing you to play the games you own for a period of time. It’s garbage and this is one of the many reasons the MS Store will go the way of Games For Windows in the next couple of years.

In summary, when you get this error:

Go to to the Microsoft Store.
Search for Netflix, it’s a free 2MB download. Note that many other small, free, cheap Microsoft Store programs will also work, I just found Netflix to be the least “invasive” of those unlike say, Candy Crush.
Download it and open it. You don’t have to sign into it.
Quit Netflix and open Forza. It should work now.
If you already have Netflix installed and you still get the error, use the Start Menu to Search for Netflix, right click, uninstall, and then reinstall as I explained above.

You don’t need to reinstall Forza. You don’t need to change your password, log back into the Store, anything like that. Just get a free app working, and then run the game as normal.

12/12/2018 DOESNT WORK ANYMORE!

If you’re signing into Windows 10 with a local account, try signing in with your Microsoft account.

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Accounts > Your info.
Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.

Reboot your PC before trying again.
