DLSS Update

When the car is driving both DLSS and DLAA look terrible because they have a kind of ghosting or something like that if i pay attention. At least in 1080p anything else than TAA seems to be useless.

Tried DLSS last night (RTX 3060TI), no increase in FPS, graphics are horrible, rainbow effect. Probably need to play with the settings a bit more. If anyone has recommended settings that would be appreciated.
Also noted that the load times before races are now significantly longer and the intro is jerky as hell.

Thanks for the info, DLSS has my bumper reflecting off the road\sand etc. Drivers in distance also have saggy bottom weird bumpers. Will turn off blur to see if it improves as a bit distracting.

What’s sad is that Horizon already ran pretty good on PC, it’s one of the better optimized games out there. But Fidelity FX 2.0 or 2.1 is available now for Xbox Series machines, which is where higher frames are desperately needed AND because most console players are sitting a fair distance away from a TV (versus within 1-3 feet of their monitors), you won’t notice the artifacts as much…and yet the console users, arguably the larger group of players of this game, get bupkis.

Guys, FidelityFX 2.1 or a 1440p with full graphical options please. 4k/30 or 4k-ish/60 with noticeably lowered graphical settings more than a year after launch, um…I think we’ve been patient, no? And we know you have it in you to deliver this to us. Please?

Maybe for XMAS!?

FH5 is the only game that I have played that tries to ignite my 3080 RTX into a ball of flames. If I decide to run at 4k (I have the monitor to support it at 120 Hz), at max settings, my card runs at 98% the whole time and caps at 90 fps. 2k is better, but only if I drop to high on most settings. Every other game I play, new and old, can run 4k without issue at 120 fps.

I reinstalled NFS Payback (turned 5 years old today) and it looks just as good as FH5 in 4k, yet doesn’t try to kill my computer. Ray tracing is a toy for players who like to take screen shots. While racing, you’ll notice the issues with it long before the benefits.

DLSS will never happen on Xbox for one simple reason:

The Xbox uses AMD hardware.

everybody knows that this is a LIE :>

btw: a GPU usage of 98/99% is completely normal. everything below means either the game is not proper optimized/just old or you are CPU bound. Oh and yeah, good luck playing Cyberpunk at 4k/120 FPS with a 3080 :>

It’s my opinion, Payback was very good graphically, very few bugs/glitches when compared to FH5. Running at 98-99% is not optimal, especially with modern GPUs creating massive amounts of heat. It’s the fastest way to ruin a card, period. Cyberpunk has it’s own issues, and has had them from the get go.

CPU - 12th gen i9 12900K 3.19 GHz
64 GB ram
GeForce RTX 3080 Ti XC3 Ultra Gaming
ROG Maximus Z690 Formula

My computer shouldn’t have issues with this game, but it does. And I’m sure the buggy mess that is Cyberpunk would be a problem as well.

Don’t confuse “maximizing” a card with being “optimized”.

My pc is a couple of notches below yours and it runs the game without any issues, graphics are set to ultra and it runs and looks great. The only issues that I have is I cannot change radio stations, cutscenes are often jumpy and not smoothe. The intro race froze for a few seconds in three places , when I started the game for the first time.

i5-10400F CPU, windows 11 pro, nvidia video card 12 gb,28 gb ram.

Got my technologies confused (Nvidia on the PC), updated post. Thx for the correction.

Credit where credit is due to the devs. It’s probably one of their greatest achievements.

Instead of talking so much crap in this forum and spreading very obvious false information, you should spend more time on educating yourself.
If you have nothing meaningful to add to the conversation, just remain silent?

There was a new NVIDIA driver released today that fixes the texture issues. There is a pretty noticeable performance hit though. Can anyone check if rebar was disabled in the new driver?

Latest driver improved the perfomance on my side quite a bit. Overall I’m getting about 5-10 fps more!
ReBar was on. check your graphics settings, the game messes them up after installing a new driver

What driver were you using before? Compared to 512.95 the new one performs better, but compared to 522.25 performance is worse. This new driver sits in the middle performance wise.

He is probably comparing it with the latest driver, which was 526.47, not 522.25.

526.47 should perform the same as 522.25 in this game though. I did try the hotfix driver and that had same performance as 522.25. I lose about 8% of performance with this compared to 522.25 and there are some stutter that weren’t there before.

I went from the Hotfix driver (526.61) to 526.86. I’m now getting around 100 fps in the city (was about 90 before latest patch). I have a 3070 btw

Using threats? Not nice.

Even DLSS can’t manage to make the game look less jagged, huh? Now it’s happening at an even lower resolution, just upscaled.

My biggest graphical gripe with FH5 (aside from VRAM issues) is how jagged every edge looks. TAA helped a bit, but I don’t think anything can truly fix it at this point.
