thanks for the possible solution but I’m not a software engineer!
because I have to be the one to struggle to find an extremely complex solution!
It’s clear that it’s an FM problem on PC and it’s up to you to solve this, not me, I repeat, I’m the user who paid for a game/service, not a computer engineer who solves your problems.
sorry for the outburst ![]()
the problem is not solved on PC!
here is the confirmation in 30 sec (sorry for my language
)
The game is installed on a SSD? You have your power settings in windows and your gpu driver set to “maximum performance”?
Weird things like that also can happen if you are out of V-RAM.
I have already tried all the solutions above, installed on SSD then another SSD then NVME, HAGS disabled, power management at maximum, in game tried all possible VIDEO combinations, Nvidia drivers updated and I also tried a rollback, Game Bar disabled, I I also tried disabling third-party overlays… all to no avail.
as I had already written, it has been happening since update 7.0, before it happened very rarely and less intrusive, now the whole track and practically at every race in private.
You ever tried option one of that?
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-controlled-folder-access-for-microsoft-defender-antivirus-in-windows-11.4013/
You created an exception for the game folder in Windows Defender? If you use a 3rd party Antivirus, try uninstalling that.
And maybe also try to play it without any program active you don’t need, close everything like discord, mouse or keyboard software etc. just everything you don’t need to play the game.
do you mean ENABLE or DISABLE folder access control?
otherwise all unnecessary programs are disabled
Just disable it. So it doesn’t control it.
ok I’ll try at the next race…obviously I’ll rehabilitate it once it’s out.
Thanks for the info and I’ll keep you updated!
Well, why not remaking the topic in troubleshooting hub?
So they are not bad ssd’s as you said, they simply do not have the latest greatest innovations. Honestly the case scenario you put forth is pretty funny. I guess though if you transfer a lot of movies and such back and forth between your ssd’s the d-ram will help. I don’t need such massive transfer capabilities and likely never will, but good to know they are still improving ssd’s. You made it sound like they are junk, which they most certainly are not.
They are junk if you put them into an old PS4. But they work fine in computers yes. They also don’t work right if you use them as external SSD via USB.
If all else fails you could see if there’s an update for BIOS on your motherboard. In rare cases flashing your mobo can sort out issues as it not only updates but resets to default settings.
Certain good manufacturers have programs that will run in Windows, other’s require you to use a USB from the boot screen and remember, if you lose power whilst flashing you will brick your motherboard.
Here we get too technical ![]()
Yeah it is but just like the settings in FM8, gotta spend a lot of time to get it sorta dialled in
I’ve been getting the disappearing/black track more often recently (on PC/Steam).
I had a race in the private lobby tonight and I tried to disable folder access and it doesn’t work.
Then I tried to put the game in window and everything was fine for more than 1 hour.
So for you was it a coincidence or is it a possible solution?
So far I did no saw black texture on the track anymore and, miracle, even raytracing is working on my 7900XTX without causing any crash with the latest Adrenalin 24.4.1
It sounds like you are running out of V-RAM. This is what happens if i run out of V-RAM in GTA V.
I am pretty sure the same happens in other games like Forza too.
If your resolution in the window was lower, it would make sense that the track dissapeared later.
the effect is the same as GTA and it’s true but I’m 100% sure that the V RAM is not saturated as I use max 6500mb out of 8000 available with my RTX 3060Ti, I also tried with all the details at minimum and with use VRAM 4500 and the trace disappears anyway.
other solution?
Going back to update 6.0 would fix everything ![]()
