When they change the BOP you will need to reset your tuning settings while in a lobby to have the new BOP applied. Make sure you write your settings down first.
I found this with the shelby cobra in the vintage lemans event. my car still had the old BOP setup that had the stock gearbox that hit the limiter at 188kph, while other cobras were flying past me on the straight. I was so confused.
Once I reset the the tuning settings the new BOP was applied and I now had the same build as everyone else with the upgraded gearbox.
If they make changes to a cars BOP, You need to reset the setup or buy a new car for the new changes to be applied. This is not how it should be and causes alot of confusion and potential exploits.
Ah see there’s the thing, I don’t use any of those driving aids but even the worn in racing line can be off on certain circuits, that and you might want to use some ripple strip thus going dirty for a corner.
In the lead-up to launch I was under the impression that you would see dirt and rubber marbles build up over time but it doesn’t seem to

Turn the braking line on and explore the grip limits when you are directly following it and when you are slightly off the projected line. Also affects the speed sensitivity /steering angle limit when on controller, this is why a lot of people are complaining about understeer issues on controller.
Its like the game wants you to stay on the programmed line for optimum grip/ response. Even when it is not the optimal line one would usually take as the projected line is very conservative on its amount of track use.
I have had to change my normal driving style to work with this system.

something has definitely changed, I was doing 1:52:xx or low 1:53:xxx in Yas Marina, now I’m struggling to do 1:53 forza GT, Audi R8
So I’ve observed something else that has only been around since 8.
I’ll be driving in MP and suddenly it’s as if my car hits its own Ebrake and im put into a spin. Did 6mp races tonight and it happened twice. Has anyone else experienced this?
It’s too bad they seem to have messed this up because the AI and MP match making both improved significantly. Its too bad this problem in this thread happened because it was really a great update, no new track not withstanding.
Yes, i get that too. the sudden unexpected grip loss.
I feel it when some one gets into your draft into a braking zone, or when the baked in grip conditions change throughout the race. Its like it doesn’t transition smoothly but more like a switch is flipped.
I’m not sure mine was due to wake simulation, because i think it would have happened more often. I had crazy close racing all night long, it was wild
