Did the physics change on some cars for this update?

,

Posted this in the wrong section so reposting here.

Maybe not on all cars, but I know with my Jesko, I had it all tuned and dialed in and it drove phenomenally before. All of a sudden it drives like it did before I put hours and hours into tuning it. Slides everywhere, can’t put power down, and understeers or oversteers like crazy. Again, I had that all smoothed out really well with my tuning, but not only does the car feel different, it seems like tuning properties are different? The braking and accel figures are also different from where they were before patch (either the braking/accel calculation properties are now different or my tunes changed without me changing them, which seems odd considering I saved and downloaded them to be sure).

Anyone notice this?

Sometimes tunes need to be reapplied to the car, cuz car resets to stock sometimes.

But if u kept your tune as auto save, and after reset u did some changes to car, your tune is lost :sunglasses:

All the tune settings seem to be the exact same. But the difference is the statistics from that same tune changed (for example, even with the exact same tune, braking and accel figures are now different than they were before patch) and that coincides with the car handling abysmal now compared to how I got it to feel before.

Definitely frustrating.

It almost feels like it isn’t on slicks anymore even though it says it is.

Omg I thought I was the only one. They 100% changed because I have to re tune so many cars. They absolutely changed the physics because everything is now tail swing happy and the tuning settings are way way different

My opinion is that because the player numbers are so low that they are now catering to the drifting crowds to bring back the numbers. It’s all I can think off but that mustang gt slides around like it’s already drift tuned , same with the dark horse

Many people says there was changes to handling, but honestly I feel no difference. Tho, possible it’s because my tunes don’t use extreme values.

You can tune most of that out with some pretty ridiculous anti-squat settings (I run +38 on those two) and slightly underinflated rear tires.

I’m currently sifting through my cars. All of my Porsches went from “borderline unstable, will try to kill you if you enter a corner wrong” to “yo dawg, I heard you like understeer, so we added understeer to your understeer so you can understeer while you understeer”.

Not sure what they changed, or why- but they definitely tweaked something.

Unreal. I was the biggest fan of this game’s physics. That’s what made me love it so much. Now they ruined that and it’s unplayable. And even if I can correct if I’m not spending more hours retuning cars.

Yeah, apart from the new aero model, I feel the general handling/ tire physics have had a change to accommodate drifting. Generally feels like there is more rear end grip and a less direct feel overall. Like there is this extended “zone” at the limits of grip/slip angle.
I wouldnt say Its worse, as most cars are nicer to drive stock now. But once again tunes might need altering to keep up with the changes.

I swear they have and It almost seems like a cloud of dirty air is present in braking zones.

I havent felt any difference either. I used the new mustang gt for that first featured career series and with some upgrades and a tune its on rails.

So basically in this thread theres a couple who think things oversteer more, someone who thinks thing understeer more and a couple who dont think anythings changed.

It felt good despite the stuttering. Now it’s stutter-free but behind the wheel it’s no fun to drive again.

New mustangs are wierd, it’s like ford paid turn 10 to add more grip to ford cars

I dunno about the Jesko but physics have been tweaked I believe, yes, the steering to be precise.

I’m on a pad and cars are finally turning in and rotating properly. None of that unnecessary understeer or going to full analogue stick lock around every turn. Much better response around the centre.

And now with the Jesko, anytime I go into the dirt even a little bit the steering locks up and the car just goes straight no matter how much I turn.

Can’t believe they ruined the physics due to stupid drifting.

Just drove a bunch more cars and yeah, they screwed the physics totally up. It went from my favorite physics to complete crap. I only like to drive with no nannies and that’s impossible now as high powered cars have no balance with tc off.

I’m finally done with this dumpster of a game. And I was a huge fan before.

Definitely different experience here. I’m seeing severe understeer at times then severe oversteer at times. It’s basically as if FM said we won’t let the cars do what you want them to anymore.

Are you on a pad or wheel?

Pad.

I can’t stress enough how much I enjoyed driving in this game before the update.
