Just curious if anyone is seeing different settings with the new physics. I haven’t built a lot of cars up to this point but it seems like some settings don’t need to be as extreme as they were in FM7, specifically roll bars and springs.
One thing I haven’t changed, but have not tried changing either is alignment and damping. For camber I am almost always around 1.5 or less on the front and 0.5 or more on the rear and have never gone above over 2.0 on either. I also usually run high rebound stiffness and low bump stiffness with damper and adjust based on the drive type.
Curious as to what other top tuners are seeing and if they are tuning the same as FM7.
Haven’t played motorsport 7 but tuning seems close to FH5. I do pretty much the same things maybe not in the same order since the upgrades are now locked. When it comes to base values? I can’t really tell much difference.
Ive got a few cars I’ve been working on. I shared all classes up to S for a 3rd Gen Camaro. Personally I like the tunes I ended up on for each class but thats me and my funky driving. I haven’t gotten feedback from anyone, not sure if these have downloaded much or not. This new progression for each car may slow down folks downloding and trying others tunes for a little while. Thats cool, gives me time to mess with rivals.
I’ve been using my standard motorsport tuning, seems to be ok. I have not played with the new roll setting things mich yet. I was trying to remember what I had found years ago by that Jruner or however you spell it, he had a set of math formulas he had shared somewhere that would give basically a basic balanced tune to start from. I just cant rememeber it and it changed a little when the values changed in each category, which now they’ve changed again. So, lol, being that i suck at mathing, I’ve been going mostly by feel.
That probably does not answer your question at all, sorry. Lol
No problem. That’s why I put the feelers out. Just curious. I tune with a mix between what JSR John does and some other tweaks I’ve used over the years. Just not sure if I’m over thinking it.

Absolutely the car is more predictable once you know how it Handles & the slightest front or Rear Down Force isn’t a horrendous under steer Mess like FM7 was

depending on the car increasing front Camber can Improve Turn in but it varies depending on how the (car is setup Tuned) increasing Rear camber can improve Car Stability
Not the greatest tuner (I run a wheel so tunes are usually to compensate for that. plus mostly RWD)
I do like the geometry settings. I find a touch of that can help eliminate such extreme changes to sway bars.
Have not tried anything to do with squat settings yet.
If it makes you feel any better, I am on the wheel as well.
Been tuning since FM2 and have had many #1 times that other drivers have used. Now that I am on wheel, tunes have changed some, but not drastically.
Good luck!
