The new camera angle in the cockpit on the dashboard as in FM7 will remain, or will it be cut out, as happened with FH3?
Yes, it has transferred into Horizon 4.
Thank you very much for the answer
If I remember correctly in the E3 build two years ago for FH3 dashboard camera was available. I was pretty let down when I discovered this camera was not available in the game itself. I love this camera, I use it in Dirt Rally exclusively. So I was wondering, since it’s again shown in this E3, will it be available in FH4? I’d really love it to be included this time.
Are you talking about a different type of dashboard cam than the dashboard cam that FH3 has?
The camera on top of the dashboard. Basically in between the first person and hood cam.
Well we do have it in Forza Motor Sport 7 so odds are good we will get it in Horizon 4
Counting the days to release😄
I didn’t realize that, that’s nice to hear!
The one they added late in FM7.
If it there will be, maybe i’ll buy FH4. Maybe.
If the FOV will be a correct one, i will seriously think to buy it.
If cameras will be customizabile, i defintely will buy it.
If cameras will be the same as FH3, i will skip it.
I really hope we get to adjust FOV and POV in this game. Probably not though sadly.

I would be really surprised to see this in FH4 especially with this game set to tax the base model Xbox One even further than FH3 did. Project Cars 2 has these settings on Xbox One, but that game is not as concerned about maintaining perfect frame rate (or at least attempting to, there’s many places in FM7 that have slow down and frame drops in the right circumstances).

Really, really want to know this myself. Fh3 had it at e3, then it wasn’t in the game. F7 has it. But I’ve noticed that they haven’t shown it other than when people are using the wheel rigs in the e3 footage, which has me concerned.
The game looks simply outstanding, but I cannot use the cockpit view with my wheel, the hands and wheel in game put me off, i hope this viewpoint is in the final build, if it is, this game is shaping up to be outstanding.
I always try to play with camera angle without visible steering wheel on the screen since I drive on a real steering wheel and see the second one is simply unnecessary and visibility of the road is much better and realistic with FM7 dashboard camera. I really hope the she will not be removed in the final version of the FH4 game.
Would be nice if a dev just popped in for a few seconds to reply and confirm if this viewpoint is in the game or not

Indeed, I’d like to know and I’m going to know whether or not it’s in before I buy the game.
Here is the confirmation that the view of the dashboard will remain in the game (Watch from the 11th minute):

Thanks for coming back here to confirm it! I’m happy to see it’s in (:
Will the Mirrors in First person driving not be fogged out? In the vast majority of Racing games that allow First person Drving, they fog out the mirrors. Is it to early to confirm or deny this?

Mirrors have always worked in cockpit view in Forza games.
I don’t even understand how mirrors don’t work in games like The Crew. It seems like blatant incapability to me. How hard would it be to extrapolate or copy the rendering process onto a new small surface, which only requires mirroring and some compression?
