Can anyone tell me why my car fails when i hit a tree after danger signs my friend has same tune as me and hits tree and it counts, this happens every time.TKS
Hi @Ice_Castle12 . This is not an issue. It’s by design. When you’re falling from the sky, your car must land safely. Hitting an object ( like trees, other cars, houses, etc) will erase your record.
tks for reply
Try the second life perk in the skill tree. That will often prevent fails. Might be what your friend is using.
Interesting - I don’t know for certain whether that’s the case with that perk, I didn’t think so but maybe it is.
yes, it’s odd, I’ve had that a couple of times though it can be hard to see why it does that, similar landings might or might not benefit from that particular undocumented software feature
I don’t know if it’s the perk, but I’ve had times where I smack into a tree right after the landing and it counts, and then others where I hit something a good few seconds after I land and fail. It feels like a coin flip.
THAT is exactly why…
you think so or you know so?
I have that perk on all cars but I still have the same “sometimes yes, sometimes no” issue
note I am not trying to catch you out or argue, just want to know what makes you say that with such certainty
Yes, this needs to change, especially on the Palm Forest Danger sign on the rally expansion, the slightest little miniscule touch of a tree, equals instant fail.
You always need to do one test jump, which fails, because of the trees, and then clear out as many trees as you can at the landing spot, very annoying.
I honestly can’t even remember the last time I went into the car perk menu…
I buy the lot on all cars; it helps with the various currencies (skill points, xp, credits, forzathon)
they’re partly broken and clearly never going to be fixed but hey, that’s Forza game developers for you
Personally haven’t had a need for any of those in such a long time, I honestly totally forgot about the car perks entirely. I know they definitely helped though in the beginning when you’re trying to build all of those mentioned. I’ve also never truly chased the accolades, so that’s probably part of it as well. Just thought it interesting how your initial comment reminded me that I actually had forgotten about them
With some testing the second chance perk did make the difference when hitting a solid/non-breakable tree just after landing. In a Venom F5 I ran a couple of danger signs and failed when hitting a tree immediately or quickly after landing. I found one I could reproduce somewhat easily.
Using rewind, several times I failed it from trees after landing on the ground. Then bought the perk and still using the same rewind session started completing everything where I touched the ground first. One successful one I landed, hit the tree and the car bounced back and proceeded to dance on the front bumper for several seconds before recovering. It was a successful jump after the car finally settled.
So then I tried the RA jump into the palms 5-10 times hitting the trees before and after landing and all were successful.
Buy the perk and have at it. Seems @SummeryDaisy445 has it. I’m curious to hear what others found too. It’s a small sample size but it seemed completely consistent.
Never even thought about this scenario either, but absolutely valid. Nice job confirming. Will definitely look at this in the future for my PR stunt cars.
