Been a known issue with the Forza.M games this generation.
Only solution known so far: let is sit and sync even if it takes 2 hours or more.
If it says “we couldn’t sync your data just now…”, go ahead and try again. After 2 to 3 tries, it should get done. But you need to be patient and let it complete. Doesn’t matter how fast your connection is. It will take a while.
I’ve been letting it do it’s thing, it fails every time.
I figured I’d try this morning now, when hopefully theres not a lot of people on the servers, etc. On try number 5 before I give up… Fails every time.
I’m ready to reset my whole xbox to see if it helps. This is driving me crazy.
To keep trying is all you can do. Once it took me a couple of days to sync my save after clearing it locally to re-sync from the cloud (that was for FM5). Playing on two consoles with the same profile wasn’t really workable either, which is why I had to create a secondary profile for the second xbox. Really couldn’t stomach waiting longer for it to sync than I actually wanted to play.
Had the same thing yesterday after a factory reset, took me around 5 hours in total to finally get it to download. Not just Forza though as I am having the same problem with other games.
My other games, that I’ve tried so far ( Destiny, Halo MCC, and Titanfall ) all work as expected.
I have contacted support via Twitter, and will update here as well in case anyone ends up searching for the same issue.
Right now I’m reinstalling FM6 from scratch.
I am in the NXOE preview. My next step will be to back out back to the current dash, though FM6 has worked fine under NXOE prior to last night.
If you are in the NXOE beta, perhaps you should be reporting the issue there (along with other known issues) instead of the game forum. The initial couple of waves had several items regarding Forza among the “known” problems. Best solution offered was a full, hard reset of the console (including removing the power until the power pack fully drained).
If we’re running beta software, it is always best to keep informed regarding the known issues they’ve listed instead of going to individual game forums. Issues caused by the beta software are not among those typically solved on the game forums. It just confuses the “regular” status.
