They can’t even run a reliable forum. Crashes every time you make a post and possibly one of the slowest forums I’ve been on.

My issue seems a bit different. Convoys have become unbearable. I can connect just fine, but I play this game with friends. Convoys can take 10+ minutes to finally form, and starting an event results in someone getting booted from said event as often as it works properly. Playing in a convoy has become a very frustrating experience.
It has always been like that for me. I don’t bother trying to do a single race of the Trial in a convoy unless I’m free for the next 2 hours.

Let’s face it. Multiplayer is dead in Forza. People are leaving in droves. If they don’t fix it soon there won’t be anybody to play with anyway.
Nearly 4 weeks now. This is almost becoming laughable. What the hell is going on? I am playing this game less and less, and even if this gets fixed, you can bet the next time it happens I’m going to say to hell with it. Amazing looking game with great physics let down repeatedly by networking. Sort your stuff out.
This is a follow-up to your previous request #120556 “Random Disconnects every 60 - 90 seconds”
I have managed to find a fix that allows me to play without disconnecting ever five minutes.
Changing the Teredo servername completely alleviates the problem via CMD.exe run as administrator, changing it from the following:
netsh interface teredo set state servername=win1901.ipv6.microsoft.com
to:
netsh interface teredo set state servername=win10.ipv6.microsoft.com
Restart the PC after making this change and there is suddenly no more disconnection issues.
I highly suggest this is looked at by the Windows 10 development team as well since this seems to be an issue on both of your ends. I did not pay nearly £100 at launch for the ultimate edition to not have access to core features of the game.
I posted this in the FH4 Support ticket that they closed after giving me a none helpful response of “this is being investigated”

Time to dig this topic back up again. Since a few hours my game is unable to make a connection to any session, and i can only play solo. Obviously there is nothing wrong with my connection and when checking the X-box network settings on the PC i have a working connection with X-box live multiplayer with NAT-type “average” and a latency of 150 ms.
I was one of the people who came here a few weeks ago with connection issues, which where fixed by changing the teredo servername to win10. The game worked perfect ever since i did that, untill this afternoon. I did the weekly co-op trial earlier today without problems. I notice there was an update this afternoon, and after that the problems began.
What i have tried so far is automatically fixing the x-box live connection, which changes the teredo client state to “NATAWARE client” and the server name to win1910.
This does not fix the issue, so i tried chaning the server state back to “enterpriseclient” while keeping the changed server name. no luck.
I then changed the server name also back to win10.ipv6.microsoft.com, while keeping the client as enterprise, but this also did not work. I am now out of options and not sure what to try next. Anyone else here having the same problem and knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance !
There is evidently a server-side issue of some kind currently.

And yes … I have also the same issue with online-session, despite that Xbox Console Companion says that I have internet connection ect, while in the game there is some kind of problem (see photo below).

The connection’s been dreadful this afternoon, probably not lasting even five minutes before it’s failed again.
I tried the fix above, but that seems to have been a temporary solution at best.
Mostly, this doesn’t bother me except when I’m deliberately trying to build up my skill points to unlock perks. What kind of idiot game kills off something that should be being saved locally? And ditto Forzathon Live. I think that players ought to be credited with what events they’ve completed even if they get disconnected. Thus, this afternoon, I should at least have got 20 Forzathon points after I was unceremoniously dumped from the session during the second event.

I also noticed that my ipv6 server connection had been changed back to win1901.ipv6.microsoft.com and suddenly, I am being disconnected every 2 - 5 minutes again, a little more stable but none the less bad. I check the links I was given to check for outage and guess what, no partial or complete outages at all!!! So I was fed a crock … because they don’t know how to fix the issue, at least it seems that way from the outside.
I have since changed the server name back to win10.ipv6.microsoft.com guess what, no more disconnections and I can play in peace. The server name seems to default back to win1901 but I can’t pin point where as I’ve been able to restart my PC and have it stay as win10 for a few days then it changes back so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ on that one. Below is my response to Nitro Glitter:
"This is not solved, I have once again been in a situation where I aam being disconnected every time I go into the pause screen now, again the server name has been changed back to win1901.ipv6.microsoft.com and the disconnects continue. According to the sites you have given me there is no partial or complete outage for your servers.
This is a netwroking issue on the Xbox side, Forza Horizon 4 is the only game where I have to restart my PC after selecting “fix it” on connecting to xbox live services so I can play online and now I have to go beyond that and go into the command propmt and change the servername to a compatible one.
You have access to my xbox account, you can see the connection drop outs and they are not on my end as all my other online services, other devices remain connected at over 350Mbps."

Have gone from a 5 to 7 in ranked free for all in 9 days… will take 6 months to get back! every dropped connection is a loss of 30+ points!!! every big win is +10-15 points

Would explain why me (in the UK) and my Girlfriend (in the USA) are getting disconnected everytime we even open a bloody menu in the game.
it’s incredibly annoying given we really enjoying having couple time playing games and Forza in particular…
