Completed ENTIRE Forza Drivers Cup, Cars are STILL locked.

Hmmm…

Appears there’s misleading wording on the many “locked cars”. It states you unlock exclusive cars by completing The Forza’s Drivers Cup. I’ve just completed the entire Forza Drivers Cup, all six championships, every single race including the elite series and endurance races.

As there’s no qualifying, every single race (except the stupid bowling thing, etc) you start mid-field or last and I have come first, despite the absolutely inconsistant across differing tracks AI.

I’ve needed to buy many cars I would not normally buy, including a truck and a 1.5 million credit Formula car.

After finishing my final race, a 29 lap Le Mans endurance, many cars (as in all the locked cars) are still locked.

Feel ripped off and very angry. I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous versions - without complaint - but this has been extremely tedious for me and I have forced myself to play as I believed the cars would become unlocked once the career mode was completed.

A loyal Forza fan, I purchased this game (and an Xbox One X) to buy an E49 Charger and race around Bathurst, and it’s still unavailable despite all this effort. Yes, I noticed there’s now a Forzathon achievement listed for it, so it will be in the the Forzathon eventually - but I purchased a game (and all the expansions) with this car listed, the marketing did not say my collection of certain cars in MY timeframe was entirely at the mercy other people.

Unless this locked car rubbish is removed in Forza 8, I have purchased my final Forza Motorsport game.

It never said anywhere doing all the cup races unlock every car,you get the ones they described for doing the cups!

Unless it’s changed, it lists Forza Cup races as a method of unlocking any locked car in the Collection that you click on. And even if it has changed, it may not have before the OP set about the task of unlocking the cars via the given method.

No,not any,it said some exclusive cars, never said all!!

Yes, any locked car one clicked on in the Collection gave the same list of unlocking methods. Without supplementary information it is/was misleading. How many people were misled into buying prize crates when they were still on the aforementioned list? Debate the merits of the trickled out locked cars all you like, but there’s no excusing that shoddy bit of misdirection.

Correct, you could click on any locked car and get the same description, however,it did not say all cars or even the one you clicked on would be unlocked,it was just a general description.

There are 650 available cars. And people don’t enjoy the game because of a couple of locked cars. Does it really mean that much?

Yes.

I am not one of those people that needs to collect every car but I think people are annoyed that their favorite car which can be a mundane Honda Civic, supercar or race car is in the game but not available. In older Forzas the unicorn cars were just variants of othe cars in the game.

I play since fm6 and it’s not.

You can drive ANY car in the game by renting it as long as it isn’t DLC. You can only not upgrade/tune or paint it.

Yes it does on the “Car Collection” page.
Click on any exclusive car, the text reads "Unlock exclusive cars by participating in time-limited community events or completing the Forza’s Drivers Cup (I’m in the less than 2% of users who have completed the entire “The Forza Drivers Cup”).

Yes, it does. I have no interest in most of the (exotic, buggy, formula) cars/trucks/SUV’s and really purchased the game for specific muscle cars. Four of those are tier 1 cars and they are locked. Not impressed.

It says exclusive cars, not ALL exclusive cars,if it said all that would be different but it don’t say ALL,case closed!! I have also done the whole cup campaign.

As others have noted … no where does it state (and has not since details started being released) that completing the Driver’s Cup will unlock all cars. That is only one method to unlock locked cars and only unlocks the specific cars linked to the Driver’s Cup events.

Yes it does on the car collection page. Click on any exclusive car and the text reads:

“Unlock exclusive cars by participating in time-limited community events or completing the Forza Drivers Cup”.

This implies if you complete the Forza Drivers Cup the exclusive cars will be unlocked. Like less than 2% of Forza Motorsport 7 players, I’ve completed the Forza Drivers Cup and would like the exclusive cars to be unlocked now thanks very much Turn 10.

Dude, I don’t know what else to say to help you out here. On the ‘Exclusive Content’ popup message when selecting a locked car on the Car Collection screen … the words ‘all’, ‘every’ or any other synonymous words do not appear anywhere with respect to a single way to unlock all locked cars. However, the word ‘or’ does appear in reference to a specific list of multiple options in game to unlock locked cars.

Quick refresher … Webster’s Dictionary defines the word ‘or’ as “a function word to indicate an alternative”. The alternatives in this case being the Forza Driver’s Cup, Forzathon Challenges, Specialty Dealer, Multiplayer Leagues or Other Community Events.

Thanks for the English lesson. The ‘or’ to which you refer is in a statement offering two alternatives. One: complete the time-based community events. Two: complete the forza drivers cup.

I’d like the cars unlocked now, or the wording adjusted in the next update to avoid confusion.

‘Or’ can be explained differently. For example: if you need surgery and you’ve been told that you can’t eat OR drink before the operation it means both.

The ‘or’ in this case refers to a list of five potential alternatives. Any of which may unlock some of the locked cars. Nowhere does it say that one of those options will unlock all locked cars.
