I finished the Forza Driver’s Cup and expected all the cars to be unlocked. They are not! Am I reading this wrong or is this an issue?
I hope you don’t have to finish every single race in the Forza Driver’s Cup to unlock! That seems kind of extreme!
Some cars unlock when you complete the Elite Cups
Some cars remain locked and are aquired via Specialty Dealer, Forzathon or wait for it … Lootboxes.
None are locked in just lootboxes…false info
Some are rewards for completing championships and endurance events
Is there an official statement from Turn 10 to back this up? I’d love for it to be a true statement.
No official statement, but no proof anyone has found a locked car in a loot box either.
I haven’t seen that ever confirmed by Turn 10 anywhere myself.
However I suspect all the cars will be made available outside of loot boxes in some form over the entire lifespan of the game.
The question is how long will it take before it is offered outside of a loot box and what will be required for you to do to get it?
There have already been some obnoxious releases (see the 2016 Porsche GT3 RS released to only 300 people and the 2009 Focus RS only for painters).
The Focus was easy to get, it wasn’t just for painters. A full livery wasn’t needed, just participation in the Halloween Bash with a layer group, photo or livery. Heck, even just and orange and black paintjob would have qualified.
When was the Porsche given out, I never saw any announcement for it?
The most obnoxious was the Torana FE for beating a top 100 driver…
I will give you the Porsche that was crap move but not the Ford that was open to every one, all you had to do was either take a photo of a car in a spooky scene eg at night or in the mist or just splash some orange and black decals on a car and say wow look at my halloween theme and that was it Hell even I managed that much after painting a D Type Jag orange and black.
Was a comp any one could have entered and that was all you had to do was enter.
So any car I didn’t collect as Level reward can still be collected/unlocked from Car Collection? (I have sometimes taken Credits instead of some of the cars.)
Not quite any car that was a reward for race completion, Showcase, or gift can not be purchased I have completed all races every last one of them and there are still about 80 locked cars and another 43+cars that can not be bought or sold. But apart from any gift car or reward car or cars with padlocks you can buy what ever you want to😔
No. Some of them will remained locked for other events and/or specialty dealer.
Completing the Cup and doing all races or getting check marks for all the races does not unlock all the cars. All done and plenty are still locked.
I think every Forza game has had locked cars of some kind (usually called unicorn cars) so nothing new here.
What is different is the amount of them, but then this is the first Forza to have over 700 cars at launch.
This is working as intended.
Finishing all of the Elite Drivers Cup events won’t “unlock” all cars either.
