I have been a loyal player since the inception of Forza way back in 2005. I have completed each and every forza edition and I still own them all. I am writing you because I can no longer sit back and simply enjoy playing one of your games, specifically your newest release Forza Motorsport 7. Where to start; First I would like to say that I do love the new graphics since I own an HDR 4k display, however I have been experiencing a graphical glitch that randomly changes the color and livery of my vehicles to grey when I enter a race. A rather strange occurrence I would say. I game everyday up to 12-14 hrs at a time, I have seen a lot and played a lot. Many times I find myself thinking how a game could have been better, and others I marvel at the ridiculous amount of errors, glitches, and poor game design. This is out of all of the Forzas probably the most disappointing title I have seen you release. You touted having over 700 cars in the game and yet even after completing the campaign twice I still only own 300 vehicles. The many hours spent grinding just to receive some unwanted race car is frustrating to say the least. Now I know that I can rent any car in the game, but that does not count as far as I and many others are concerned. If I can’t buy the vehicle than it really isn’t in the game. I could miss out on a forzathon event and never be able to get that car again. There are many scenarios in which I could elaborate on that would show your marketing strategies are vague and borderline lies in which you attempt to showcase the scope and breadth of Forza 7 and all that it has and can do. Truthfully you as a game designer and as a business should be ashamed of yourselves for even thinking of using a pay to win scheme, or the abysmal concept of loot crates. You took an awesome title and reduced it to a shabby Phone game. If you truly want to capitalize on the market, how about taking the novel approach of creating a game for gamers to enjoy not solely for you to line your pockets. You would make more money giving us sugar than giving us vinegar. I have finished my soap box rant for today, I am off to grind for yet another useless off-road vehicle to race on some distant Le Mans track, woopie!
No I had a nascar go grey at a race at the Miami Homestead oval track. XBOX one original day one edition (old). Other races the livery was just fine. I used Chase Elliots NAPA 24 Chevy.
I totally agree and have to play Forza 6 to have any fun. I am a livery artist but will probably quit because I drift AWD in online hoppers and these brainless creators didn’t put one in this game .
If I can’t use my liveries why should I even bother to paint ? I don’t think they care at all about our dislike of this game.
If they did we would hear from them and not just locking every thread they think tarnished their oh so great reputation. They did that with this so called Forza title.
Man, I totally agree with you! And I have to say, I admire you painters especially, doing your work for all this time with that “2 pixel bump” bug! At least that is fixed. But I am also racing on FM6 now, and actually having FUN! Fun…what a concept! LOL!
I think you must be doing something very different to how I’ve been doing it.
I’ve not finished my first play through of the career and I have over 400 cars in my garage. I game for maybe 3-4 hours week nights and a chunk at weekends but not 12-14 hours a day. I also spend half of those hours painting (for little reward) so I know that’s not where the difference lies.
Ditto to this. I might get two to three hours, 4-6 days a week. I’ve got 3 elite championships yet to go, have over 640 cars with only two being duplicates. Everyone touts over 700 cars in the game, yet the few that are locked seem to be the ONLY cars that anyone wants. Apparently as events unfold, and level ups release a locked car here or there, it still isn’t good enough. Was there a published list of cars that were going to even be in the game? If not, surely everyone was banking on THIER favorite car being included, lest they not buy the game in the first place, because it seems unless someone has that one specific car in their virtual possession, they’ll be otherwise unhappy…
There you go. A full list of what should have been in the game from day one. When the reality is that not all of them were, and still aren’t. Bordering on false advertising.
Why shouldn’t someone be unhappy that they can’t get their favourite car in a game about cars and racing them, because it’s locked behind an incredibly arbitrary system?
I agree. With his post… I have ver 500 cars and not though the second full campaign. However, I do play long races. And all though I hate the grey car thing… Since I only drive from the cockpit the car color is not a show stopper for me.

No AI in Private Lobbies
Creating my own series using modified cars
Not being able to run modified cars in Career… (All they have to do is match the car PI)
Game crashing on PC
Stupid Tracks and Buggies n Road tracks… ?
Crates
Locked cars
On and on… !
All that said, as I’m on the XBONE… I’ve not had any crashes, Forzathon works fine and I’m enjoying the positives of the game like:
Long and Extra Long races in Career mode… Excellent addition.
The Endurance Races integrated into the career mode…
Car awards at every level
And maybe one or two other positives.
All in all it’s the worst overall FM released IMHO… No, never mind… FM5 was much worst.
I will not ever pre dear again due to FM7 and I will never buy the Ultimate Edition Game either. As a Racer it’s become t Arcady and with the BS trucks, Buggies, Razors. And crap as jeeps and SUV’s… I’m just not as excited as I used to be abut FM. It’s lost its focus on Automotive Enthuisut from customizing cars to racing on tracks. FH and Fm are almost completely one in the same now.

Just wait until you complete all the events and unlock a tuxedo driver suit, and already being gifted the FE cars that you win from the 5 championships and having doubles is a nice little slap in the face, talk about biggest let down ever. Normally at this point class based rivals would give endless hours of replayability, but I guess its off to the short list of rival events and online bumper cars. hopefully theyre taking this feedback and create the game it should be. The competition is not far behind and its a very long race.
I avoided Guides only to end up here. I knew at the time there would be some kind of karma involved. Every thread turns into a moan session and if I wasn’t so cold I would be starting to feel a little sorry for the mods here. What would the point of having Forzathons and Special Dealer etc if all cars were unlocked? Why bother with the AH at all? There are plenty of issues(bugs) and missing events etc to keep people occupied without worrying about a few locked cars. BTW there are a few in there I am keen to get out on the track but I can see why they did it in the first place.
